Allard Keeps Rolling; Wrestling Drops 26-12 Decision At Lock Haven
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Redshirt senior Trevor Allard kept rolling on Thursday night but it wasn't enough as the Bloomsburg University wrestling team dropped a 26-12 decision at Lock Haven University in a Mid-American Conference (MAC) dual at Thomas Fieldhouse. The Huskies dropped to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the MAC while the Bald Eagles improved to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in conference action.

Vikings Top George Mason
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland State University wrestling team came from behind for a second straight dual as the Vikings fought back to claim a 22-14 victory over George Mason Friday evening in Woodling Gymnasium. Facing a Patriot squad that entered with a 6-1 mark, the Vikings found themselves trailing, 14-10, with three bouts remaining. However, CSU ended with a flourish as the Vikings shut out Mason down the stretch to pick up the win in the program's first-ever home MAC dual.

Edinboro:
Rally Comes Up Short In 21-19 Loss To George Mason
EDINBORO, Pa. – It was called the Brawl in the Bubble. The Dual in the Dome. What it almost became was one of the greatest comebacks ever for the Edinboro wrestling team. Unfortunately, in the end the Fighting Scots found themselves on the short end of a 21-19 score to George Mason in a match that started at 12 noon and was held in the Zafirovski Sports & Recreation Dome. The loss dropped Edinboro to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the Mid-American Conference. George Mason improved to 6-1 and is now 2-0 in the MAC with a match this evening at Cleveland State.

Patriots Split Road MAC Matches
The Patriots move to 6-2 (2-1 MAC) this season after splitting two MAC duals today. Mason edged Edinboro, 21-19 in a Noon match today, then dropped a 22-14 match at Cleveland State later this evening. Edinboro won the first match at 125 pounds to take a 3-0 lead, but Mason would win the next four matches and take a commanding 18-3 lead halfway through the match. The Fighting Scots fought back with decisions in four of the final five matches.

Wrestling Drops Decision At Wisconsin
MADISON, WIS- The Golden Flashes picked up victories by Andrew McNally and Colin McCracken in a dual with #7/8 Wisconsin on Thursday night in Madison. The Badgers ultimately won the dual 42-6 in the home opener for Wisconsin. Andrew McNally picked up his second win of the week, topping Jared Krattinger in a 6-3 victory by decision at 174. That victory got the Flashes on the board on Thursday night. McCracken rallied back from a tough decision loss on Wednesday night to pick up a win over Petr Christensen in a 6-1 victory by decision.

Flashes Fall at Huskies
DeKALB, IL- Northern Illinois won the final three matches of the evening and pulled away from the Golden Flashes in a 23-13 defeat in a Mid-American Conference dual on Wednesday night. Kent State won four of the 10 matches on Wednesday night, led by Andrew McNally's 13-2 major decision victory at 174. McNally proved why he was the MAC's number-four wrestler in his class and his victory tied the dual up at 13 before Northern Illinois took the final three bouts of the night.

Fehlman’s 100th win, Port’s pin power Bald Eagles to victory
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – DJ Fehlman recorded his 100th career win, Brock Port picked up a pin and the Bald Eagles benefitted from bonus points as the Lock Haven University wrestling team cruised past arch-rival Bloomsburg University (0-3, 0-2 MAC East), 26-12, tonight in LHU's first ever Mid-American Conference (MAC) Eastern Division dual. The Bald Eagles won six of 10 bouts and extended their dual win streak to five matches, thanks to two tech falls, a pin and a major. With the win Lock Haven improved to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in MAC East action.

Team Effort Propels Huskies To Victory
DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University wrestling team used a fast start and strong finish to earn a 23-13 victory over Mid-American Conference rival Kent State in Victor E. Court Wednesday night. The Huskies' (5-3, 2-1) win over the Golden Flashes was their second straight over Kent State and first at home since Jan. 18, 2004.

Wrestling Takes Down West Virginia, 20-13
PARKERSBURG, W. Va. -- The Ohio wrestling team (2-3, 0-1 MAC) earned a 20-13 victory over regional rival West Virginia (0-5, 0-1 Big 12) this evening at Parkersburg High School. West Virginia opened things up with a 3-0 lead at 125 pounds as redshirt sophomore Joey Thomas picked up a 4-2 win by decision. The Bobcats began to flip the script beginning at 133, though. Redshirt junior Mario Guillen (Perrysburg, Ohio) evened the match at three-all courtesy of a 10-4 win by decision over sophomore Lucas Seibert.

Monarchs Win First MAC Dual Of The Season
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The Old Dominion (1-1, 1-0 MAC) wrestling team won eight of 10 bouts in its dual against Mid-American Conference (MAC) foe SIUE (1-3, 0-1 MAC) to earn a commanding 33-9 victory on Wednesday night. One of the more commanding victories came in the 125-pound match, where No. 10 Killian Cardinale earned a whopping 10 takedowns in his bout over Gage Datlovsky. Cardinale earned the technical fall win with a score of 24-9, one of two technical fall victories of the evening for ODU.

No. 25 Rider Falls To No. 12 Princeton
PRINCETON, NJ – The Broncs won two matches, but the nationally-ranked No. 25 Rider University wrestling team fell at local rival #12 Princeton, 32-9, Thursday night at Dillon Gymnasium. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 3-2, while the Tigers are now 2-2. With the match starting at 157, the Tigers took a 13-7 decision in a rematch between #7 Quincy Monday and #6 Jesse Dellavecchia. Dellavecchia had defeated Monday at the season-opening Princeton Open on Nov. 3. Princeton would continue to rack up wins with a fall at 165 and a decision at 174, pushing its lead to 12-0.

Purdue Upends SIUE Wrestling
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Chase Diehl and Ryan Yarnell picked up wins Thursday in SIUE's final dual meet of 2019, a 35-9 loss to Big Ten power and No. 11-ranked Purdue. Diehl, a true freshman, defeated Purdue's Elijah Davis 2-1 ar 165 pounds. The difference was a locked hands called on Davis when he was trying to keep Diehl from escaping.

Cougars Fall To ODU
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Justin Ruffin and Colton McKiernan highlighted SIUE wrestling Wednesday in a 33-9 loss to Mid-American Conference rival Old Dominion in First Community Arena at the Vadalabene Center. Ruffin, ranked in the top 20 nationally, defeated No. 4-ranked Larry Early 3-1 in the second overtime period. After the two wrestlers exchanged escapes, Ruffin put Early on his back in the final seconds of overtime to clinch the victory. Early was the top-ranked 157-pounder in the MAC.
