MAC Men’s Basketball East Division Co-Players of the Week
Daeqwon Plowden, Bowling Green, Forward
Junior, Philadelphia, Pa. (Mastery Charter North)
Plowden led the Falcons to a 72-58 win over Cleveland State on Sunday (Dec. 15) evening at the Stroh Center. For the second-straight contest, Plowden tied a career high with 23 points. The junior was unbelievably efficient from the floor, as he went 11-of-13 (84.6 percent), including a 1-for-2 mark from downtown. His career-high 11 field goals surpassed his previous career high by two buckets. The native of Philadelphia posted four rebounds, two steals and two blocks, as well. Over his last two games, Plowden is 20-of-26 (76.9 percent) from the field.
Bam Bowman, Miami, Forward

Bowman really came on in the second half of Miami's 79-67 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Sunday. He had 16 points on 7-for-9 shooting and also got six offensive rebounds. For the game, Bowman had a team-high 20 points and just missed a double-double with eight rebounds, seven of which were offensive.

Willie Jackson, Toledo, Forward
Senior, Cleveland, Ohio (Garfield Heights)
Jackson dominated the glass with 16 rebounds and matched his season high with 13 points to lead Toledo to its fifth straight win with an 80-72 victory at Detroit Mercy on Saturday. Jackson also dished out four assists, was a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line and blocked two shots as part of a defensive effort that limited the Titans to a 38.7 field-goal percentage. Jackson got the Rockets off to a quick start in the contest by scoring their first five points. He then took over on the boards in the second half with nine rebounds to help Toledo register a 41-36 advantage on the glass. Jackson’s double-double was his sixth of the season, a total that ranks among the Top 10 in the nation. He also is averaging a double-double with 10.2 ppg and 12.7 rpg and ranks third nationally in rebounding.
Brandon Johnson, Western Michigan, Forward
R-Junior, Chicago, Ill. (Thea Bowman Leadership Academy)
For the third straight game and fourth time this season, redshirt junior Brandon Johnson registered a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds against WMU’s victory over Manhattan. In a team-high 33 minutes of action, Johnson shot over 42 percent from the field and recorded 11 of his 15 points in the second half. The redshirt junior forward also had seven of his 11 rebounds in the second half against the Jaspers. Over the past five games the Chicago, Ill., native is averaging 16.6 points and 11.4 rebounds per contest. Johnson has scored in double figures in each of the past five games and in nine of the 11 games this season. Johnson ranks second on the team with 15.5 points per game while leading the team with 9.5 rebounds.

Banks scored a career-high 19 points en route to the Zips 100-50 triumph over Concord. Banks shot 60-percent from the field (6-of-10), including a career-best 67-percent, 6-of-9 effort from beyond the 3-point arc. He added three rebounds, one assist and one steal in Akron’s lone contest of the week.
