MAC Men's Basketball East Division Player of the Week
Justin Turner, Bowling Green, Guard
R-Junior, Detroit, Michigan
Turner, a redshirt-junior guard, led Bowling Green to a 1-1 week to open the 2019-20 season. Turner averaged 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assist and 2.0 steals. Turner made 18 field goals, and shot 54.5 percent from the floor. The native of Detroit, who also shot 54.5 percent (6-of-11) from downtown, turned in a pair of 20-plus point games. After a 20-point game on opening night versus Tiffin, Turner dropped 26 points on the road at No. 22 LSU. The redshirt-junior grabbed six rebounds apiece in both contests.
MAC Men's Basketball West Division Player of the Week
Michael Flowers, Western Michigan, Guard
Junior, Southfield, Mich. (Southfield A&T)
Leading Western Michigan to its first 2-0 start since 2014, junior guard Michael Flowers led the way averaging 29.0 points while shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 73.3 percent from long distance. In the season opener, Flowers led WMU with 24 points and became the 26th player in school history to go a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line (min. 10 att.). In a triple overtime victory on Saturday at Milwaukee, Flowers scored a career-high 34 points and knocked down a career-high seven three-pointers for the 115-110 victory. Flowers was clutch as can be against the Panthers, making a three-pointer to send the game to overtime, another one to send it to double overtime and a third one to send it to triple overtime en route to the victory. Flowers’ seven three-pointers at Milwaukee was the third most in a single-game in school history. With two 20-point performances, Flowers leads the MAC in scoring and now has 14 20-point game in his career. At Milwaukee was Flowers’ second career game with over 30 points, with the first coming last season, scoring a then career-high 31 points at No. 5 Michigan.

Davonta Jordan, Buffalo, Guard
Senior Coca, FL/Montverde Academy
Jordan tried to will the Bulls to victory on Friday night as the veteran finished with 17 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Jordan had 13 of his 17 points in the final 12 minutes of action, including tying his career high with four made three pointers.
David DiLeo, Central Michigan, Senior
Forward, New Hampton School (N.H.)
DiLeo shot a blistering .621 from the field last week, averaging 26.0 points per game, in leading Central Michigan to a 2-0 start to the season. On Tuesday night in a 102-62 win over Michigan-Dearborn, the preseason All-MAC West selection scored 20 first half points, finishing with 22 on 7-of-10 shooting and 5-of-7 from long distance. On Sunday, DiLeo helped the Chippewas set the program single-game record for points, scoring a career-high 30 on 11-of-19 from the field in a 134-78 victory over Mississippi Valley State. DiLeo was central in CMU scoring over 100 points in back-to-back games for the first time since the early 1970s. With 11 3-pointers last week, DiLeo moved into 3rd place on the CMU career list (264) and continued to put himself in range of the MAC record.
Boubacar Toure, Eastern Michigan, Center
R-Senior, Dakar, Senegal (Phase One Academy)
Redshirt senior Boubacar Toure, Eastern Michigan’s leading returner in points and rebounds, was impressive for the Green and White in its season-opening win (93-51) against Siena Heights, Nov. 8. The Dakar, Senegal native posed his ninth-career double-double, scoring 13 points and racking up 10 rebounds against the Saints. His 13 points were good for third on the team, while his rebounding performance paced the Eagles. Toure’s field goal percentage ranks second in the MAC, while his rebounds per game ranks fifth in the league.
Anthony Roberts, Kent State, Guard
Sophomore, Detroit, Mich.
Roberts scored a career-high 18 points in Kent State's opener verse Hiram, 97-58. The sophomore went 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and shot 7-of-12 from the field. His 18 points was a game-high. Roberts also added a rebound, an assist, and a steal to help Kent State's efforts in the season-opening win.
Nike Sibande, Miami, Guard
Junior, Indianapolis, Ind. (Crispus Attucks)
Sibande picked up right where he left off the previous two seasons in Miami's only game last week. He led the RedHawks with 24 points and nearly made it a double-double with nine rebounds. He hit one three-pointer and also contributed two assists and two blocks in 34 minutes of action.
Jason Preston, Ohio, Guard
Sophomore, Orlando, Fla. (Believe Sports Academy)
Peston led the Bobcats during the first week of play. Preston averaged a double double, with 13.5 points and 12.0 assists per game. He also averted 3.5 steals and a team-leading 6.5 rebounds per game. While averaging 70 minutes over two games, Preston went 11-of-22 (.500) from the field, 1-of-2 (.500) from three-point range and 4-of-6 (.667) from the free throw line. He also only turned the ball over five times and was called for one foul while helping Ohio to a 2-0 week. On Nov. 5 in the Bobcats season opener at St. Bonaventure, Preston was on fire, playing all 40 minutes while scoring 11 points, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out a career-high 13 assists. Preston went 5-of-12 from the field and snagged a career-high seven steals in the Bobcats' 65-53 victory inside the Reilly Center. Preston's seven steals in a game were the first for a Bobcat in a game since 2010 when DJ Cooper had eight against St. Bonaventure. On Nov. 9 against Heidelberg, Preston picked up where he left off, scoring a career-high 16 points, while going 6-of-10 from the field, 1-of-2 from three-point range and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. He also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out a team-high 11 assists in the Bobcats 88-50 victory.
Spencer Littleson, Toledo, Guard
Junior, Rochester Hills, Mich. (Rochester Adams)
Littleson tied for the team scoring lead with 19.5 ppg and averaged 2.0 spg to help Toledo split a pair of games to open the 2019-20 season. He also shot an impressive 56.5 percent from the field and 57.1 percent (8-of-14) from three-point range. Littleson poured in a career-high 27 points and grabbed three steals in the Rockets’ 96-70 win at Marshall. The Rocket co-captain hit 8-of-11 shots from the field and was a red-hot 6-of-8 on his three-point attempts. In Toledo’s season-opening 79-77 loss at Valparaiso, Littleson scored 12 points and grabbed three rebounds.
