MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Leonor Berlie, Miami
Midfielder, Junior, Geneva, Switzerland (College de Candolle)       
 
Leonor Berlie led the Miami offense in a home win against Longwood, registering her third multi-goal game in the last five games. Berlie scored two goals, including the game-winning goal, and converted on Miami's first penalty stroke attempt of the season. She took a game-high four shots, all on target, as she continues to lead the league in shots (85) and shots on goal (46) this season. Berlie also leads the MAC in goals (11) and points (25) this season and has already passed her previous single-season highs.
 
MAC Defensive Player of the Week Nominees 
 Marie Gorner, Miami
Back, Senior, Seddin, Germany (Wolkenburg-Gymnasium)
 
Senior back Marie Gorner captained the Miami defense as the center back in a 4-2 win over Longwood last week. The RedHawk defense held its opponent to fewer shots than the offense took for the 10th time this season and held the opponent's shot total under 10 for the ninth time this season, allowing only seven shots. Gorner and the Miami defense held Longwood off the board for 55 minutes and limited Longwood to just two penalty corners during the contest when the Lancers have been averaging 4.5 penalty corner opportunities per game.

Freshman Claudia Ortiz helped the Flashes stay perfect in MAC play as Kent State defeated Central Michigan, 3-2. This was the Flashes fifth-straight win. In the game, Ortiz fired three shots, all on target. Ortiz scored the game-winning goal for the Flashes, her fifth goal of the season. 
 
Samantha Glapinski, Central Michigan

Redshirt junior forward Samantha Glapinski was a driving force behind Central Michigan's near upset of MAC-leading Kent State on Friday in Mount Pleasant. Glapinski tied the game at 1-1 early in the second period, deflecting in a Georgina Minta shot for her fourth goal of the season. After the Golden Flashes responded, Glapinski knotted the game again, scoring her fifth goal on a blast from near the top of the arc. Glapinski ranks second on the team in goals.   
 
Kendall Ballard, Ohio

Ballard created multiple chances for herself and her teammates in a 3-0 win over Ball State on Friday, Oct. 18, before dominating Big Ten opponent Indiana on Sunday. Ballard scored both of Ohio's goals, with one coming on a penalty stroke, and the other in overtime to give Ohio their first win over a Power Five opponent since 2015. 
 
Madison Miles, Appalachian State   
Midfielder, Freshman, Chadds Ford, Pa. (Unionville)          
 
Madison Miles recorded her first three career points in App State's 2-1 over Saint Louis on Sunday. After the Billikens took a 1-0 lead in the second period, Miles responded just a few minutes later with a crafty individual goal to knot the game at 1-1. The freshman stayed active in the second half, serving as the stick stopper on Veerle Van Heertum's game-winning goal off a penalty corner. Miles also used her stick to set up a potential game-tying goal in the second period off another App State penalty corner. Miles finished Sunday's contest with a goal, an assist, three points and a shot on goal. She also became the 10th Mountaineer to notch a goal this season.
 
Clara Rodriguez Seto, Kent State

Junior Clara Rodriguez Seto had a busy weekend for Kent State as she helped on both offensive and defensive sides of the field. In the 3-2 win over Central Michigan, Rodriguez Seto assisted the tie-breaking goal. This was her fifth assist on the season. On Sunday against Northwestern, Rodriguez Seto recorded her fifth defensive save of the season. 
 
Sophia Boothby, Ohio            
GK, Redshirt Senior, Spotsylvania, Va. (Riverbend)
 
Boothby stopped all four shots sent her way this weekend, as she captained the Ohio defense to a shutout over MAC foe Ball State, and a thrilling victory over Indiana.
