Sa’Derian Perry, Old Dominion—Junior, Lakeland, Fla. (Lake Gibson High School)

 
Old Dominion junior Sa’Derian Perry at 141 lbs. went 2-0 on the weekend, including one win by major decision and one pin, which added bonus points for the Monarchs in their wins over CMU and NIU on the road. On Friday, Perry won his match by a 12-3 major decision. ODU topped the Chippewas by a 24-9 score in Mount Pleasant. On Sunday, Perry pinned his NIU opponent in just the first period, where ODU came out on top by a 23-12 score. Perry recorded the first pin for a Monarch in a dual for the 2018-2019 season. The Florida native is now 12-3 this season.

Buffalo junior Troy Keller at 165 lbs. won by technical fall to help the Bulls defeat Hofstra, 25-12 on Sunday, Jan. 6. The Bulls’ 165-pounder shut out Corey Langner, 15-0, and need just 5:03 to earn the tech fall. Keller jumped out to an 8-0 lead after the first period with the help of a takedown, a 4-point near fall and a two-point near fall. The junior grappler added another four-point near fall in the second period.
 
Logan Parks, Central Michigan—Junior, Taylor, Mich. (Southgate Anderson High School)
 
Central Michigan junior Logan Parks at 157 lbs. defeated Larry Early, 4-0, in a MAC dual between the Chippewas and Old Dominion. Early, a junior and an NCAA Championships qualifier last season, entered the match 12-1 on the season and ranked as high as third nationally. He was ranked first in the MAC. The win lifted Parks, who is ranked fourth in the MAC in the weight class, to 16-7 on the season and it capped a week that started with him posting a 7-2 mark and a seventh-place finish at the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
 
Zac Carson, Ohio—Junior, Akron, Ohio (Uniontown Lake High School)
 
Ohio junior Zac Carson at 157 lbs. the Bobcats earn an eighth-place finish with 54.5 points at the 2019 Southern Scuffle presented by Compound Sportswear, which was held Jan. 1-2 at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn. Carson was one of two Bobcats who claimed fourth-place finishes at the Southern Scuffle. Carson pinned Drexel sophomore Felix Belga in 5:00 in the round of 64 and followed the fall up with a 9-3 decision win over Campbell freshman Alex Rivera, a 3-2 decision win over Air Force senior Alex Mossing and a 7-5 decision win over No. 2-seeded Paul Fox of Stanford. He suffered a tough 7-5 loss by decision to Penn State sophomore Bo Pipher in the semifinals but responded with a 3-2 victory by decision over redshirt senior Jonce Blaylock to earn a spot in the third-place bout. Carson finished fourth after a close 12-10 defeat by decision to Stanford sophomore Dominick Mandarino.
