Akron:
Zips Win Seventh Straight
LOGAN, Utah – The University of Akron women's tennis team won its seventh consecutive match with a 4-3 victory over Boise State (2-2 overall) on Saturday at Utah State's Sports Academy & Racquet Club. The Zips' 7-0 start to the season is their best since the 2013-14 season when they also opened with a 7-0 record. The school record is a 15-0 start from the 2009-10 season.

Women's Tennis Tops Utah State, 4-3
LOGAN, Utah -- The University of Akron women's tennis team won its sixth consecutive match with a 4-3 victory at Utah State on Friday at the Odgen Athletic Club. The Zips' 6-0 start to the season is their best since the 2013-14 season when they opened with a 7-0 record. Utah State (1-1 overall) claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. The Zips Akron (6-0 overall) rebounded in singles action, claiming four victories.

Zips Knock Off Weber State, 4-3
OGDEN, Utah – The University of Akron women's tennis team won its fifth consecutive match with a 4-3 decision at Weber State on Thursday at the Odgen Athletic Club. The Zips' 5-0 start to the season is their best since the 2013-14 season when they opened with a 7-0 record. Akron (5-0 overall) dropped the doubles point to Weber State (2-2 overall), falling at No. 1 and No. 3 positions.

Cardinals Defeat Youngstown State, 6-1
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women's tennis team (3-1) earned a dominating 6-1 victory over Youngstown State (1-3) Saturday night at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. Ball State gained the early momentum and never looked back in tonight's match against Youngstown State. The Cardinals won on all three courts in doubles play over the Penguins. Peyton Gollhofer and Isabelle Dohanics breezed through their doubles match with a 6-1 win on court three. Victoria Sec and Sarah Swiderski remained undefeated in doubles action this season, clinching the point for the Cardinals on court two after their 6-2 defeat over Tamara Teufl and Claudia Barboza.

Bowling Green:
Falcons Sweep Indiana Tech
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program opened up their home spring schedule on Saturday, Feb. 2 with a 7-0 sweep against Indiana Tech. The win takes the Falcons to a 2-2 record this season. The Orange and Brown have yet to begin MAC play thus far. The sweep is BGSU's second of the season in just four matches. Last season, the Falcons totaled two sweeps over the course of their schedule.

Buffalo:
Women's Tennis Caps Off Perfect Opening Weekend
WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team completed their first spring weekend undefeated after taking down Siena 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Miller Tennis Center. The Bulls improved to 3-0 on the season with the win. Buffalo had to fight its way through doubles, but then won five of the six matches in singles play. Siena picked up the first win at third doubles, but Buffalo fought back with a 6-4 win at two from the freshman duo of Pia Schwarz and Hsin-Yuan Shih. UB then needed a win at first doubles and it got the victory in a tiebreaker as the team of Chantal Martinez Blanco and Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou fought back for the 7-6 (4) win to give Buffalo the early 1-0 lead.

Bulls Open Spring With 7-0 Sweep Over Niagara
WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team dominated their spring opener on Friday afternoon, defeating Niagara 7-0 at the Miller Tennis Center. UB won all six singles matches in straight sets, dropping just 15 games overall amongst the six matches. It started in doubles as the Bulls won all three matches beginning at first doubles with a 6-1 win by senior Chantal Martinez Blanco and Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou. The Bulls then won a pair of 6-4 contests at second and third doubles.

Women's Tennis Sweeps Green Bay
GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Northern Illinois University women's team scored a 7-0 victory over Green Bay at the Western Racquet and Fitness Sunday. After taking the doubles point, the Huskies (2-2) shutout the Phoenix (0-2) in four of 10 sets in singles play. Christy Robinson (Wellington New Zealand/Samuel Marsden Collegiate School) shutout Tallie Piaskowski in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles.

Huskies Swept By Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. – The Northern Illinois University women's team was dealt a 7-0 defeat to Wisconsin at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium Saturday. The Huskies (1-2) were unable to match Wisconsin (6-0). The Badgers won all six singles matches in straight sets and claimed the doubles point.

Women's Tennis Drops Match To Cincinnati
Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team fell to Cincinnati in a 7-0 sweep at Twos Athletic Club Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats swept the Rockets in doubles, despite the efforts of UT's No. 3 doubles duo Claire Aleck and Christina Fuller, who lost in a 6-4 match, UC then made a clean sweep of the Rockets in singles play. Seniors Kokoro Chishaki and Aleck pushed their second sets to tiebreaks before falling 7-5 each.

Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team defeated Saint Francis, 6-1, at Two's Athletic Club on Friday. The Rockets claimed the doubles point early with wins from the senior duo of Thalita Rodrigues/Kokoro Chishaki (6-3) on the No. 2 court and the freshman/senior duo Christina Fuller/Claire Aleck (6-0) on the No. 3 court.

Western Michigan:
Broncos Swept By Indiana
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team had its three-match win streak snapped on Saturday, Feb. 2, falling 7-0 against Big Ten Conference opponent Indiana University. The Hoosiers took the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 2, while WMU's pair of Azcui and Jack had their match unfinished at the No. 3 position. IU took all six matches in singles, with Fevralev and Tjon-A-Joe winning the only sets for the Broncos.
