Cardinals Drop 4-3 Match To Michigan State
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Cardinals led the entire match today against Big Ten foe Michigan State. Unfortunately, Ball State couldn't hold onto to its once 3-0 lead over the Spartans, suffering a heartbreaking 4-3 loss after Chris Adams fell in a three set thriller on court five to Carson Gates. With the loss, the Cardinals drop to 0-2 on the season, both BSU losses were to Big Ten opponents. Michigan State improved its overall record to 4-2.

Binghamton:
Bearcats Sweep A Pair of Sunday Matches
OLEAN, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis (3-1) rolled to a pair of shutout wins over in-state foes St. Bonaventure (1-3) and Niagara (0-1) Sunday afternoon at the St. Bonaventure Fitness Center. The Bearcats posted identical 7-0 scores in each match. Junior Kushaan Nath set the tone with a pair of wins at No. 1 singles, evening his record at 7-7 in the process.

Men's Tennis Falls At Wisconsin
DEKALB, Ill. -- The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Victor Spolidorio picked up the lone point for the Huskies with a win at number six singles. Freshman David Pata and senior Erich Schuette, who already won a pair of doubles matches earlier in the weekend, held a 5-4 lead over Robert Krill and Chase Colton when the doubles was halted with Wisconsin having clinched the point.

Huskies Drop Pair Of Matches At Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. - The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches at Omaha on Friday, falling to the Mavericks 4-1 in the afternoon match and 4-3 in the evening match. In the first match of the day, freshman David Pata (Bucharest, Romania) scored the only win of the day for the Huskies, topping Davis Lawley, 6-3, 7-5, at number three singles. Pata and senior Erich Schuette (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) also earned a 7-6 doubles victory over Matt Dunn and Ethan Henry, but the Mavericks won the other two doubles matches to take the point.

Toledo:
Rockets Fall To No. 2 Ohio State
Columbus, Ohio – The University of Toledo men's tennis team fell to Ohio State 4-0 on Sunday. Despite a strong effort from the Rockets, the No. 2 Buckeyes made a clean sweep. Senior Luka Vitosevic went toe-to-toe with No. 36 John McNally at the No. 1 singles position. Vitosevic played to a 6-3 loss in the first set and left the second set unfinished at 3-2. Junior Danilo Vukotic dropped his first set in the No. 2 spot, 6-2, but began shifting the momentum against No. 13 Kyle Seelig in his second set. Their match was left unfinished at 6-2, 4-5.

Men's Tennis Ends Road Trip With Loss To Rice
HOUSTON, Texas - The Western Michigan men's tennis team concluded its Texas trip with a 4-0 loss at Rice University on Monday, Jan. 28, dropping its record to 2-4 on the season. For the third consecutive match, the Broncos took one of its three doubles matches, conceding the doubles point versus the undefeated Owls. A new WMU pair was formed, with Lenhard Haupt teaming up with Nick Schnobel. They defeated Mohamed Abdel-Aziz/Conrad Russell 6-4 at the No. 2 spot while Rice earned wins at No. 1 and No. 3.

Broncos Conclude Weekend With Loss To Cal
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Western Michigan men's tennis concluded competition at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend with a 4-0 setback versus California on Sunday, Jan. 27, dropping its record to 2-3 overall on the season. WMU's No. 1 doubles pair of freshman Peter Kuszynski and Jack Randall, ranked No. 54 in the nation, defeated Cal's Jacob Brumm and Yuta Kikuchi, who are ranked No. 14 by the ITA. However, the Bears won at the second and third spots to take the doubles point.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Western Michigan men's tennis opened competition at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend with a 4-1 setback at No. 9-ranked Texas A&M University on Saturday, Jan. 26, dropping its record to 2-2 overall on the season. Despite the Broncos' No. 2 doubles pair of Jannik Opitz and Lenhard Haupt earning a 6-4 victory, improving their record to 10-3 overall, WMU lost at No. 1 and No. 3 as the Aggies secured the doubles point.
