Bearcats Fall To Brown
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Binghamton men's tennis (1-1) ran into an Ivy League buzzsaw Sunday afternoon, falling to Brown (2-0) 7-0 at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Senior No. 1 Ludovico Cestarollo played the tightest match, pushing Peter Litsky to a third set in his loss.

Men's Tennis Tops Quinnipiac
NORTH HAVEN, Conn. - Binghamton men's tennis (1-0) opened its spring season with a commanding road win over Quinnipiac (1-1) Saturday night at the North Haven Health and Racquet Club. The Bearcats earned the doubles point with a clinching win at the third spot and then BU rattled off four singles wins to seal the victory. Senior Inigo Saez and junior Alejandro Pena paired together to post the key doubles win - a 7-6 (8) tiebreak win at No. 3. Saez then rolled to a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles and Pena earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 6.

Bulls Open Spring With First Ever Win Over Harvard
BOSTON, MA – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team started its spring season on a high note Sunday as the Bulls came away with their first ever win over Harvard, defeating the Crimson, 4-3. Harvard, known to be one of the top teams in the Ivy League, made it to the round of 32 in last year's NCAA Tournament. The Bulls won the doubles point early on and that turned out to be the difference in the match. Junior Vilhelm Fridell and freshman Simon Wibler won their match at first doubles, 6-4, and then UB won the deciding match at third doubles as sophomores Matthew Johnson and Valdemar Holm won in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (10), giving UB the early 1-0 lead.

Men's Tennis Tops Tennessee Tech
DES MOINES, Iowa – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team picked up its first victory on the season Sunday as the Huskies topped Tennessee Tech, 5-2, to even its record at 1-1 on the first weekend of the season. The Huskies took the doubles point and won four singles matches to earn the victory over the Golden Eagles. NIU opened by taking the doubles point with a pair of tight wins at one and three. Senior Eric Marbach and sophomore Kristopher Ortega earned their second win of the weekend with a 7-5 victory at number one over Marc Mila and Fanis Kontopoulos while freshman Mikko Malinen and sophomore Victor Spolidorio outlasted Gonzalo Garcia and Rafael Tosetto at number three, 7-6.

Huskies Drop Season Opener At Drake
DES MOINES, Iowa – Senior Eric Marbach and sophomore Kristopher Ortega claimed a win against nationally-ranked opposition but the Northern Illinois University men's tennis team fell to Drake, 4-3, in its season opening match on Saturday afternoon. Marbach and Ortega topped Drake's 27th-ranked duo of Vinny Gillespie and Barny Thorold, 7-6, but the Bulldogs took the doubles points with victories in the other two matches.

Men's Tennis Drops Match To Dayton
TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo men's tennis team fell 5-2 to Dayton in a hard-fought match on Monday. The Rockets started out with doubles, dropping the doubles-point in close matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions despite the sophomore/junior duo of Tyler Gargas/Thawin Suksathaporn's 6-3 victory at the No. 3 position.

Rockets Sweep Wright State In Home Opener
TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo men's tennis team opened play at home Friday evening with a 7-0 sweep of Wright State. The Rockets started out by securing the doubles point with Serjen Olmedo/Cole Shoults defeating Parma Pun/Lorenzo Maccarini 7-6(4) and Tyler Gargas/Thawin Suksathaporn defeating Theo Bourghelle/Javier Alvarez 6-1. In singles play, senior Luka Vitosevic took a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Fernando Nardelli at the No. 1 position. Playing at the No. 2 position junior Danilo Vukotic defeated Param Pun (6-3, 6-3). Freshman Cole Shoults captured a victory over Leighton Brandon in two sets as well, finishing with a score of 6-4, 6-3.

Broncos Drop Road Match At Iowa
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team suffered its first dual-match loss of 2019, falling 6-1 at Big Ten opponent University of Iowa on Saturday, Jan. 19. The Hawkeyes jumped out to a 1-0 lead, taking the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. WMU's third pair of Kennosuke Nouchi & Nick Schnobel won 6-2 over Piotr Smietana/Joe Tyler.
