Wilder Signs to MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Former Western Michigan men's basketball guard Thomas Wilder has signed a professional contract to play with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the Basketball Bundesliga League.
Wilder recently signed an NBA Summer League contract with the Utah Jazz, playing in three games totaling 51 minutes with 12 points, three rebounds and six assists. In his third game with the Jazz against the Trailblazers, the former WMU point guard scored six points with five assists and two rebounds.
Wilder ended his career in Kalamazoo as WMU's second all-time leading scorer with 2,040 points. The Montgomery, Ill., native is the only player in school history to rank in the top ten in career points, field goals made, field goals attempted, three-pointers made, free-throws made, steals and assists.
During his senior campaign, Wilder led the Broncos and ranked second in the Mid-American Conference with 18.8 points per game. The former guard earned First Team All-MAC and NABC All-District honors for the second straight year while being named to the All-High Major Fourth Team by College Sports Madness.
MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg begins its season on September 28 against the Fraport Skyliners. The BBL is considered the first tier of basketball in Germany.
