Men's Tennis Falls To Buffalo
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (14-10, 3-4 MAC) fell to the defending Mid-American Conference champion Buffalo (12-9, 5-2 MAC) by a score of 5-2 Sunday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. Buffalo started off strong in today's match after taking the doubles point from the Cardinals. The Bulls Hao Shen Koay alongside partner Villhelm Fridell beat Marko Guzina and Conner Andersen by a score of 6-2 on court two.

Cardinals Defeat Binghamton
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (14-9, 3-3 MAC) opened Mid-American Conference action this weekend with a 5-2 win over Binghamton (5-17, 1-7 MAC) Saturday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. The Cardinals took the doubles point from Bearcats but it wasn't easy, as the No. 1 doubles tandem of Nemanja Guzina and Collin Rigney would lose their match 6-2. Ball State had went ahead early on courts two and three taking an impressive 4-1 lead but Binghamton would fight back to knot both matches, 4-4.

Men's Tennis Defeats Toledo
TOLEDO, Ohio - Binghamton men's tennis (5-16, 1-5 MAC) surrendered the doubles point before roaring back to win four singles matches and earn a 4-3 road win over Toledo (3-15, 0-6 MAC) Friday afternoon at the UT Varsity Courts. With the win, BU keeps its playoff hopes alive. Needing a top-four spot to advance to the Mid-American Conference tournament, the Bearcats must beat Ball State on Saturday (by a 2+ margin) and then have the Cardinals lose their finale Sunday vs. Buffalo. Last month, BU was edged by Ball State 4-3.

Bulls Defeat Ball State, 5-2
MUNCIE, IN – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team concluded the regular season on Sunday with a 5-2 win at Ball State as the Bulls secured the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament. Buffalo is now 12-9 on the season and 5-2 in MAC play with both conference losses coming against the top seed, Western Michigan. The Bulls opened the afternoon with a strong performance in doubles. UB got wins at each of the top two doubles matches as seniors Vidit Vaghela and Petr Vodak came away with a 6-3 win at one, while sophomores Hao Sheng Koay and Villhelm Fridell won at two, 6-2.

Men's Tennis Earns Road Win
DEKALB, IL – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team earned a 6-1 win at Northern Illinois on Friday afternoon, beginning the final regular season weekend. The Bulls improved to 11-9 with the win and 4-2 in league play. With a win on Sunday, UB will clinch the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament.

Huskies Fall To Buffalo
DEKALB, Ill. -- Five of the six singles matches went to three sets but Buffalo took four of those five matches as the Bulls earned a 6-1 victory over the Northern Illinois University men's tennis team in the regular season finale on Friday afternoon. NIU finishes the regular season with a 15-7 overall record, 5-2 in Mid-American Conference play.

Men's Tennis Drops Finale
Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo men's tennis team fell 7-0 against Western Michigan today to close out the 2017-18 season. Standout performer from the match was junior Reid Teatsorth. The Findlay, Ohio native played in the No. 3 singles slot and was one of two Rockets to force a third set today. Teatsorth won his first set against WMU's Lenhard Haupt 6-3 but dropped the second 2-6, forcing a match tiebreak. Teatsorth fought hard in the final leg of his match but ultimately fell 10-7.

Rockets Fall 4-3 To Binghamton
Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo men's tennis team fell 4-3 to Binghamton today in the penultimate match of the MAC regular season. Toledo's points came from the doubles point and strong play from juniors Vince Anzalone and Juan Carranza. The match started with Toledo claiming the doubles point. Senior Stephen Miller and sophomore Danilo Vukotic fell 6-2 in the No. 1 spot but UT rebounded in the next two matches. Anzalone and junior Reid Teatsorth won 6-3 playing in No. 2, and the team of Carranza and junior Serjen Olmedo won 6-3 in the No. 3 spot to wrap up doubles.

Western Michigan:
Broncos Finish Conference Play Undefeated
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Western Michigan men's tennis team swept Toledo on the road on Saturday afternoon to conclude the Mid-American Conference regular season undefeated, the first time since the 2010-11 season. With the victory the Broncos wrap up regular season play on a nine-match winning streak to finish 20-4 overall and 7-0 in the league. The Broncos got things started early, clinching the doubles point at No. 2 & 3 in that order. Seniors Billy Heckman and Maik Steiner defeated Carranza/Olmedo 6-4 at No. 3 to clinch the point and earn their third conference victory together this season. Juniors Nick Schnobel and Eric Olivarez also picked up a victory at the two spot for WMU, finishing a perfect 7-0 in MAC play.
