Akron:
Zips Fall To Buffalo, 6-1

AKRON, Ohio – Defending Mid-American Conference champion Buffalo beat Akron, 6-1, in women's tennis action on Saturday afternoon at the LaTuchie Tennis Center. Buffalo (14-3 overall, 7-0 MAC) claimed the doubles point over the Zips (14-11 overall, 3-4 MAC) with wins at the No. 1 and 3 spots. Full Story...

Ball State:
Women's Tennis Defeats NIU, 6-1

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team (9-9, 2-4 MAC) ended its weekend with a 6-1 victory over Northern Illinois (5-16, 0-7 MAC) Sunday afternoon in Mid-American Conference action. For the second-straight match the Cardinals took the doubles point from their respective opponent.  Julia Sbircea, on her senior day, paired up with Peyton Gollhofer at number two doubles. Cardinals Win 4-3 Over Broncos

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team (9-9, 1-4 MAC) earned a thrilling 4-3 match over Western Michigan (11-10, 2-3 MAC) Friday afternoon at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The Cardinals opened by winning the doubles point over the Broncos.  Peyton Gollhofer and Victoria Sec would trail at No. 2 doubles at the beginning of play but quickly took back ownership and would go on to beat Denise Azcui and Melina Lyubomirova, 6-3.  Full Story...

Bowling Green:
Falcons Fall At Miami

HAMILTON, Ohio –Junior Vanesa Pardo earned the lone point for the Bowling Green tennis program (12-8, 4-3 MAC) in a 6-1 loss at Miami (9-8, 5-1 MAC) Saturday afternoon. In addition to Pardo's victory at No. 4 singles, the pairing of junior Paula Comella and freshman Marta Bettinelli also earned a win in competition at No. 1 doubles. Full Story...

Buffalo:
Bulls Lock Up Top Seed With Over Zips

AKRON, OH – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team won their 11th consecutive match on Saturday afternoon as the Bulls remained undefeated in MAC play following a 6-1 win at Akron.  The Bulls improved to 14-3 on the season and 7-0 in league play.  With just one regular season match remaining, UB has clinched at least a share of the MAC regular season title and they have claimed the #1 seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament. Buffalo took the doubles point with a pair of wins.  The number one team of Chantal Martinez Blanco and Lolade Ogungbesan won 6-3, while Emel Abibula and Arianna Paules Aldrey won at third doubles, 6-4.  The second doubles match was tied at 6-6 when play was stopped. Full Story...

Eagles Split Senior Day 

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Eastern Michigan University tennis team split its final home date of the regular season Friday, April 13, falling in Mid-American Conference play to the University of Toledo, 4-3, and defeating Tiffin University 5-2 in non-league action. 

This was an absolutely brutal loss it was so close," said head coach Jayson Wiseman. "We did almost everything we needed to in the singles to get the win but came up just a hair short. It was especially tough to lose on senior day really want to get the victory for them."  Full Story...

Miami:
RedHawks Roll Through Falcons On Senior Day

HAMILTON, Ohio – The Miami University women’s tennis team made sure to end their home schedule on a high note Saturday, when they took down the visiting Bowling Green Falcons at Riverside Athletic Club by a score of 6-1. The match served as senior day for the RedHawks, with Nelli Ponomareva and Anastasiia Vasiukhina being honored before the match. Huskies Fall At Ball State


MUNCIE, Ind. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to Mid-American Conference foe Ball State Sunday.  Evelyn Youel (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) posted NIU's (5-16, 0-7) lone victory on the day, defeating Victoria Sec at No. 5 singles. The Huskie senior won the first set 6-3, but dropped the second 1-6. Youel secured the victory winning the third set, 10-6. Full Story...

Toledo:
Women's Tennis Tops Western Michigan, 4-3


Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo women's tennis team (15-5, 5-2 MAC) won 4-3 over Western Michigan (11-11, 2-4 MAC) today to sweep the weekend and extend the Rockets' winning streak to five matches. The Rockets' victory is only the second time in program history that Toledo's beaten Western Michigan. Rockets Win 4-3 Over Eagles

Ypsilanti, Mich. - The Toledo women's tennis team earned a 4-3 win over Eastern Michigan on Friday to extend its winning streak to four matches. The day was highlighted by senior Sidnay Huck's No. 2 match-clinching singles win, and the pair of senior Colleen O'Brien/sophomore Dee Dee Leenabanchong earning their 15th-straight doubles-match victory. Full Story...

Women's Tennis Falls At Toledo, 4-3

MAUMEE, Ohio – Concluding its tough four-match road trip, the Western Michigan women's tennis team suffered a 4-3 loss at Toledo on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, WMU is now 11-11 overall this year and 2-4 in the Mid-American Conference. After dropping the doubles point, Western Michigan earned singles wins at four and two to hold a 2-1 advantage. MUNCIE, Ind. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team suffered a nail-biting 4-3 loss on Friday afternoon to the hands of the reigning Mid-American Conference regular season champions Ball State.
