MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -- The Missouri Tigers won their sixth consecutive MAC Wrestling Tournament Championship in dominating fashion with 177 total team points and seven Tigers were crowned as individual champions.
MAC Wrestling Championships host Central Michigan finished second with 125 points, while Eastern Michigan finished in a close third-place with 120.5 team points. Kent State finished third with 98 points and Ohio ended ranked fifth with 84.5 team points. Buffalo (81 points), Old Dominion (80 points) and Northern Illinois (78) rounded out the team scoring.
Missouri had seven wrestlers crowned as MAC Individual Champions as John Erneste (133), Jaydin Eierman (141), Grant Leeth (149), Joey Lavallee (157), Connor Flynn (165), Daniel Lewis (174) and Willie Miklus (197) all won their respective weight classes.
Three programs had individual winners as Old Dominion, Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan each were represented with one individual champion. Host Central Michigan was paced by Matt Stencel as a No. 5 seed with a win at 285, while Old Dominion's Michael McGee began the day with winning the 125-pound weight class. Eastern Michigan's Kayne MacCallum won the 184 weight class as a No. 3 seed.
