Zips Split Matches


AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron women's tennis team split its final two non-conference matches on Thursday afternoon at the LaTuchie Tennis Center. The Zips (10-7 overall) fell to Youngstown State (6-9 overall), 4-3, before sweeping against La Salle (2-7 overall), 7-0. Full Story...

Bowling Green:
Falcons Remain Undefeated At Home


PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The Bowling Green women's tennis program (8-5) remains undefeated at home as it downed Wright State (9-9) on Saturday afternoon at the Perrysburg Tennis Center. Women's Tennis Tops UIC 

PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The Bowling Green tennis program (7-5) remains undefeated at home this season as it was able to down UIC (5-4) in a 5-2 final on Friday afternoon at the Perrysburg Tennis Center. Falcons Fall At Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Bowling Green tennis program (6-5) suffered a 7-0 setback to No. 23 Ohio State (7-4) Tuesday afternoon. Buffalo:
Women's Tennis Tops South Carolina State


HILTON HEAD, SC – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team had little trouble getting past South Carolina State on Monday afternoon as the Bulls swept their contest 7-0 in Hilton Head, SC.  UB improves to 7-3 with the win. The Bulls won all three doubles matches, dropping just three games collectively.  At first doubles, Chantal Martinez Blanco and Lolade Ogungbesan won 6-1, while Tanja Stojanovska and Anna Savchenko won at second doubles, 6-2.  The Bulls then shutout their opponent at third doubles as Emel Abibula and Arianna Paules Aldrey won, 6-0. Full Story...

Bulls Pick Up Win Over College of Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team opened their Spring Break trip with their first ever win over the College of Charleston as they defeated the Cougars, 4-2.  The win improves Buffalo to 6-3 on the season. The two teams did not play doubles due to weather, so it came down to singles play where the Bulls took four of the six singles matches.  Junior Chantal Martinez Blanco won at two with a 6-3, 6-2 win, while senior Lolade Ogungbesan came away with a 6-3, 6-4 win at three.  The Cougars picked up a win at one, but the Bulls held on to the 2-1 lead.  Full Story...

Eastern Michigan:
Women's Tennis Tops Detroit


YPSILANTI, Mich.  – The Eastern Michigan University tennis team ran its winning streak to eight matches with a 6-0 victory over the University of Detroit Mercy Saturday, March 17 at the Chippewa Racquet Club. With Detroit Mercy playing with just five players, the No. 3 doubles pairing of Andrea Martinovska and Alejandra Barcelo Almoyna were granted a win by walkover. The No. 1 duo of Marie Mayerova and Ani Gogvadze secured the doubles point with a convincing 6-2 victory.  Full Story...

Huskies Top Florida A&M

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team ended their spring break trip to Florida with a 5-2 victory over Florida A&M on Thursday. NIU (5-9) got off to a fast start, winning the doubles' point for the first time in five matches. Maria Potsi(Athens Greece/1st Gel Cholargou) and Lara Slikso (Essendon, Australia/St. Columba's College) won their match at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, while Thisuri Molligoda (Colombo, Sri-Lanka) and Abigail Dekkinga(Allegan, Mich./Allegan Senior) scored a 6-2 win at No. 2. Full Story...

Women's Tennis Edged By Bethune-Cookman

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Northern Illinois University Women's Tennis team fell to Bethune-Cookman, 4-3, on Wednesday. NIU (4-9) won three singles matches on the day, but losing the doubles' point to the Lady Wildcats cost the Huskies. Rockets Win 6-1 Over UIC

Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo women's tennis team (10-3) won 6-1 over the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) (5-5) today in the final non-conference match of the season. With the win, the Rockets have established a three-match winning streak. Standout player on the day was junior Thalita Rodrigues who won a match tiebreak in the No. 5 singles spot, ending the day 4-6, 7-6, 10-8. Full Story...

Broncos Drop Home Match To UIC


KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team dropped its first contest at home this season to the hands of Illinois-Chicago with a score of 4-3 on Thursday afternoon. The Broncos have now lost their last three, falling to 7-7 overall and 5-1 inside West Hills. The Flames started the match by clinching the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 as the Bronco duos of Jeryn Jack / Denis Azcui and Melina Lyubomirova / Katja Fevralev took the losses in that order. Full Story...
