Buffalo:
Bulls Fall To Top Ranked Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Penn State proved why it's the best wrestling program in the country as the top-ranked Nittany Lions shut out Buffalo, 55-0, at Rec Hall on Sunday afternoon. The loss capped one of Buffalo's most difficult schedules in recent memory as Penn State was the fifth nationally-ranked program the Bulls faced this season. Full Story...

Bulls Fall To Binghamton, 22-14

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team lost to Binghamton, 22-14, in the final home dual of the season at Alumni Arena on Thursday night. The Bulls will close out the regular season at top-ranked Penn State on Sunday. The Bulls won decisions at 133 and 141 lbs. to take a 6-3 lead in the dual. Bryan Lantry used a third-period reversal to earn a 4-3 decision over Jacob Nicholson at 133 lbs. It was Lantry's 10th dual win of the season.  Full Story....

Central Michigan:
Chippewas Drop Dual To Michigan, 30-9

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan won seven matches, scoring bonus points in five of them, in handing Central Michigan a 30-9 loss on Sunday in a nonconference wrestling dual at the Wolverines’ Cliff Keen Arena. It was the final regular-season meet for the 20th-ranked Chippewas, who finished 8-6 and now look ahead to the March 3-4 Mid-American Conference Championships in their home facility, McGuirk Arena. Eastern Michigan:
Eagles Win Over Michigan State Highlights Tri-Dual

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Eastern Michigan University wrestling team went 1-1 as it wrapped up dual action with a tri-dual at Michigan State University on Friday, Feb. 16. After coming up short, 18-12, against Clarion University, Eastern Michigan (8-8, 3-4 MAC) spoiled Senior Day for Michigan State (6-11, 1-9 B1G) with a come-from-behind, 21-19, win. Redshirt sophomores Noah Gonser and Zac Carson, and redshirt senior Gage Hutchison all had 2-0 days to lead Eastern Michigan, including pins from both Gonser and Carson in the MSU bout, which proved to be the difference maker in the final team score.  Full Story...

Kent State:
Flashes Earn MAC Win at NIU

DEKALB, Ill. – Seven Golden Flashes had their hands raised Friday night in Kent State's decisive 24-9 win over Northern Illinois at Victor E. Court.  Sophomore Tim Rooney set the tone early with a pin in just 20 seconds to start the dual off. Rooney slipped an underhook in and put Anthony Rubino on his back with a cow-catcher.  With a quick 6-0 team lead, the Flashes never trailed throughout the dual. In his final career dual meet, senior Chance Driscoll filled in for a banged up Nick Monico at 149 and claimed a 7-1 decision.  In the final 20 seconds of the first period, Driscoll turned a shot into leg turk for a takedown and two near fall.  Full Story...

Missouri:
Tigers Conclude Perfect 19-0 Regular Season

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – No. 3 Mizzou Wrestling (19-0, 7-0 MAC) closed the regular season portion of its schedule with a 23-9 road win over No. 13 Northern Iowa on Saturday afternoon at the West Gymnasium in Cedar Falls, Iowa. With the win, Mizzou finishes the regular season with a perfect 19-0 mark in duals, the second time in program history the Tigers have finished a season with a perfect record. Mizzou also posted a perfect season in 2014-15, when the Tigers went 24-0 en route to a NWCA National Duals title. Mizzou's win over the No. 13-ranked Panthers marked its eighth win over a ranked opponent this season, the most since the Tigers defeated nine ranked opponents in 2014-15.

Four Tigers closed the season with a perfect record in dual competition. Redshirt junior 174-pounder Daniel Lewis (Blue Springs, Mo.) went 18-0 and redshirt senior 157-pounder Joey Lavallee (Reno, Nev.) went 17-0, while redshirt sophomore 141-pounder Jaydin Eierman (Columbia, Mo.) and redshirt junior 149-pounder Grant Leeth (Kearney, MO.) each went 16-0. Full Story...

Northern Illinois:
Huskies Fall To Kent State, 24-9

DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University wrestling team fell to Kent State, 24-9, in the regular-season finale at Victor E. Court Friday night. Caden McWhirter, Bryce Gorman and Brock Hudkins all picked up victories for in their respective weight classes. After NIU fell down, 9-0, after a pin at 141 and 7-1 decision at 149 in the first two matches, McWhirter put the Huskies on the board with a dominating performance at 157. The Huskie redshirt-sophomore posted a 7-2 victory over Casey Sparkman. Full Story...

Bobcats Complete Regular Season At Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Ohio wrestling team (4-9,2-5) closed out the 2017-2018 regular season on the road against Maryland (5-11, 0-9 B1G) on Sunday (Feb. 18) afternoon. The Bobcats suffered a 33-14 loss to an impressive Maryland squad. Cameron Kelly, Mario Guillen and Hunter Yeargan each recorded a win for Ohio.  Full Story...

Old Dominion:
Monarchs Edged By Duke, 19-16

DURHAM, N.C. – The Old Dominion (9-9, 5-2 MAC) wrestling team dropped their final dual of the season to No. 20 Duke (7-7, 1-4 ACC) at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday afternoon, 19-16. The dual came down to the final bout, where Duke’s No. 3 Jacob Kasper ultimately won the dual for the Blue Devils. Starting at 125, Michael McGee earned a decision over senior Thayer Atkins to put the Monarchs on the board first. Full Story...
