Bulls Complete Road Trip Sweep With Win At George Mason
FAIRFAX, VA – The University at Buffalo wrestling team took down George Mason, 26-7, at the George Mason Field House on Saturday afternoon. The win completed the Bulls' road trip sweep after defeating Binghamton on Thursday night. The Bulls won the first three matches to take a commanding 11-0 lead in the dual. Kyle Akins, coming off a pin in the Binghamton match, started things off with an 18-3 technical fall over Talha Farooq at 125. Derek Spann kept rolling with an 11-10 decision at 133. as he rallied from a 10-5 deficit to pull out the one-point win and improve to 6-0 in duals on the season.

Bulls Earn Road Dual Win at Binghamton
VESTAL, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team went on the road and earned a dominant 29-10 road win at Binghamton on Thursday night. Kyle Akins started things off with a pin at 125 and Derek Spann followed with a first-period tech fall at 133 to set the early tone. Akins earned his first fall of the season with a pin of Steve Bulzomi midway through the second period. Derek Spannwasted little time taking care of Jason Javier, earning a 17-0 tech fall, in the first period, to improve to 5-0 on the season. The Bulls led 11-0 after just two matches.

Central Michigan:
Chippewas Get First Dual Win At Maryland, 26-9
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Central Michigan wrestling team recorded seven victories including three in which they earned bonus points in downing Maryland, 26-9, in a nonconference dual on Sunday at the Terrapins' Xfinity Center Pavilion. It was the Chippewas' first dual-meet win of the season as they improved to 1-2. They opened the weekend with a 22-18 loss at Virginia on Friday. Maryland is 0-3. Central Michigan sophomore Matt Stencel recorded his second pin of the weekend as he downed Maryland's Mansur Abdul-Malik in 59 seconds at 285 pounds. Stencel recorded a first-period pin on Friday against Virginia and is 8-3 on the season with seven pins.

Chippewas Fall At Virginia, 22-18
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia won four of the final five matches on Friday in downing Central Michigan, 22-18, in a nonconference wrestling dual at the Cavaliers' Memorial Gymnasium. Central Michigan seized a 12-6 lead on Logan Parks' 8-6 victory over Jake Keating at 157 pounds. Parks improved to 7-4. Virginia then won four consecutive matches, the first on a pin at 165 by 17th-ranked Cam Coy which evened the dual at 12-12.

Tigers Push Consecutive Dual Meet Win Streak To 24
COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 6 Mizzou Wrestling pushed its dual winning streak to 24 and won its 10th straight MAC dual with a 48-0 win over Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Sunday afternoon (Dec. 9) at the Hearnes Center. Mizzou redshirt junior 141-pounder Jaydin Eierman opened the dual with his fourth pin of the season, SIU-E forfeited at 149 pounds and Mizzou dominated the dual from there, winning all 10 bouts. It was Mizzou's first shutout dual since blanking both Central Missouri (56- -1) and Missouri Valley (52-0) on Nov. 12, 2017.

Northern Illinois:
Huskies Fall To Illinois
DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University wrestling team battled, but fell to in-state foe Illinois, 24-9, in its annual Showcase Meet at the Convocation Center Friday night. NIU (2-4) took three of the 10 matches, with seven decided by two points or less. After Illinois opened up a 6-0 lead after taking the first two bouts, the Huskies jumped back in the match winning back-to-back matches.

Monarchs Take Down No. 11 Northwestern
EVANSTON, Ill. – Earning bonus points in five matches, the Old Dominion (1-2) wrestling team downed No. 11 Northwestern (1-2) on the road by a 30-10 score. The Wildcats entered the rankings with a 20-17 win over No. 10 Virginia Tech on Nov. 18. In the opening bout of the match, Michael McGee earned a technical fall over Matthew Vinci to earn bonus points and get on the board first as a team. At 133, Killian Cardinale dropped a 4-2 decision to NCAA Qualifier Colin Valdivez. Adding bonus points for the squad at 141, No. 13 Sa'Derian Perry defeated Yahya Thomas by major decision.

Cougars Fall At Missouri
COLUMBIA, Mo. - SIUE wrestling opened the Mid-American Conference regular season Sunday with a 48-0 loss at No. 6 Missouri. SIUE had a pair of close matches early with freshman Justin Ruffin dropping a 6-4 decision in overtime at 157 pounds. SIUE 165-pounder Nate Higgins fell behind early but was edged 9-7 by Missouri's Connor Flynn.
