Andrew McNally, Kent State—Sophomore, Uniontown, Ohio (Lake High School)
Kent State sophomore Andrew McNally at 184 lbs. went 8-0 with seven bonus-point victories in his first weekend of competition at Kent State. On Friday, he went 3-0 at the Kent State duals with a 16-0 tech fall, an 18-6 major decision and a pin in 33 seconds. The next day, McNally won a 184-pound title at the Clarion Open. He went 5-0 on Saturday with pins in his first three bouts against opponents from Cleveland State, Gardner Webb and Pitt. Along with four pins, McNally recorded his second major decision in two days, topping Clarion’s Tyler Bagoly in the semifinals 13-5.

Colby Smith, Missouri—Freshman, Wentzville, Mo. (Holt High School)
Missouri freshman Colby Smith at 125 lbs. earned a technical fall in his first ever dual bout while wrestling at No. 17 Illinois on Saturday, Nov. 3. Smith defeated Illinois’ Josh Contreras, 15-0, and helped Mizzou to a 30-8 win over No. 17 ranked Illini, extending Mizzou’s regular season dual winning streak to 20 in a row dating back to last year.
Kenny Moore, Northern Illinois—Sophomore, San Diego, Calif. (Hoover High School)
Northern Illinois sophomore Kenny Moore went 5-0 on the weekend en route to the title at 165 in the Michigan State Open. Moore defeated Michigan’s Logan Ritchie, 9-7, before knocking off Central Michigan’s Blake Montrie, 8-4. He had a 3-2 decision over Pennsylvania’s Evan DeLuise, and a 3-1 win in overtime over Jeremy Thomas of Oklahoma propelled Moore to the championship match. Moore faced teammate Caden McWhirter, 4-3, in the title bout to win his weight class.
Larry Early, Old Dominion—Junior, Oak Park, Ill. (Oak Park River Forest High School)
Old Dominion junior Larry Early at 157 picked up a second-place finish at the Princeton Open. Letting his opponents score just 10 points through the semifinals, Early picked up three wins by decision and one by tech. fall, picking up bonus points. In the finals, Early fell by decision to Mike D’Angelo, a two-time NCAA Qualifier.
Mario Guillen, Ohio—Sophomore, Perrysburg, Ohio (Perrysburg High School)
Ohio sophomore Mario Guillen came away with a first-place finish at 133 in the open bracket of the Michigan State Open, which was held Saturday, Nov. 3 at Jenison Fieldhouse in East Lansing, Mich. Guillen beat Central Michigan sophomore Deven Perez by a 9-2 decision, beat Oklahoma freshman Anthony Madrigal in sudden victory and then topped unattached Michigan State redshirt senior Anthony Tutolo in a 9-7 decision to claim first place.
