AKRON, Ohio -- Bowling Green won its second consecutive game with a 21-6 win at Akron on Saturday afternoon at InfoCision Stadium. Bowling Green improves to 3-8 on the year, 2-5 in the MAC, while Akron falls to 4-6 overall, 2-5 in league play. Bowling Green was led by quarterback Jarret Deoge and his 178 yards passing and two touchdowns, while running back Andrew Clair added 112 yards rushing.
Akron's Nick Gasser added two field goals in the first half from 32 and 38 yards for the early 6-0 lead.
Bowling Green took the lead with 10 second left in the half as quarterback Jarret Doege found Dorian Hendrix for a seven-yard touchdown pass for the 7-6 lead.
The Falcons extended the lead as Rico Fry capped a seven-play, 77-yard drive with a five-yard touchdown run for the 14-6 lead with 1:13 left in the third quarter. Bowling Green added an eight-yard touchdown pass from Doege to Quintin Morris with 6:47 left in the fourth quarter to open the 21-6 lead.
