Box Score
TOLEDO, Ohio -- Buffalo rallied to score 24 unanswered points and erase a 17-7 halftime deficit to defeat Toledo, 31-17, at the Glass Bowl on Saturday afternoon. It was Buffalo's first ever win at Toledo and improved the Bulls to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the MAC. It was a tale of two halves for the Bulls who struggled to get anything going in the first thirty minutes. Buffalo uncharacteristically turned the ball over and allowed a number of sacks that helped lead to the 17-7 halftime deficit. However, after regrouping in the locker room, the Bulls came out and played like a totally different team in the second half. The Bulls defense held Toledo, the MAC's highest-scoring offense, to zero points and just 65 yards of total offense in the second half. Buffalo's offense did the rest.  Full Story...

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Eastern Michigan used a complete game effort to take down Ball State, 42-20, Oct. 20, at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie, Ind. Eastern's six touchdown scores were brought in by six different Eagles' players, and a full-throttle defensive effort propelled the Eagles through the 40 miles per hour winds of Muncie to spoil Ball State's annual homecoming game. With the victory, the Eagles (4-4, 2-3 MAC) moved to .500 on the year, while earning their first MAC road victory. Meanwhile, Ball State dropped to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the MAC.

Quarterback graduate transfer Tyler Wiegers registered 257 yards through the air on 22-for-28 passing.  Wiegers 78.6 completion percentage ranks second-best in EMU single-game history, behind his 85.7 clip against Monmouth earlier this year. KENT, Ohio -- In an ending fitting of the storied football rivalry between Akron and Kent State (1-7, 0-4 MAC), a bobbled snap on an extra-point conversion in overtime proved to be the difference in the ballgame as the Zips (3-3, 1-2 MAC) captured a 24-23 overtime victory in the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge on Saturday at Dix Stadium.

Akron sophomore quarterback Kato Nelson hit sophomore receiver Andre Williams for what proved to be the game-winning touchdown on a 3rd-and-7 play from the eight-yard line to give the Zips a 24-17 lead. After senior defensive end Jamal Davis II dropped Justin Rankin for a four-yard loss on the opening play of overtime for Kent State, Woody Barrett hit Rankin for a 29-yard touchdown pass to move the Golden Flashes within one, 24-23. On the extra-point conversion, Kent State holder Dustin Crum was unable to cleanly handle the snap before Davis secured the triumph with the tackle. Full Story...
