AKRON, Ohio – The Akron women's soccer team blitzed Niagara offensively with 16 shots, including outshooting the Purple Eagles, 11-1, in the second half, but the Zips conceded an early goal as Niagara defeated Akron, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at FirstEnergy Stadium – Cub Cadet field.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's soccer team (1-3-0, 0-0-0 MAC) closed out their home opener in fashion as they exploded for five goals offensively in the dominant 5-0 victory over Youngstown State on Sunday night at UB Stadium. The five goals are the most in a game for the Bulls since October 15, 2004 when they beat Toledo 5-2.
