AKRON, Ohio – On the final night of non-conference play for the 2017 campaign, the Akron women's soccer team hung tough against the 2016 Atlantic-10 tournament champion, Duquesne, on Friday night, but ultimately fell short, 1-0, at FirstEnergy Stadium – Cub Cadet field.

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State soccer team had been mired in an early-season scoring drought unfamiliar to the program in recent times. The Cardinals were looking to find their scoring touch again Friday in their final tuneup for Mid-American Conference play.

Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team capped its 2017 non-conference season with a 2-1 victory over Robert Morris University on Friday evening (Sept. 15). Over 400 fans at Cochrane Stadium witnessed senior Skylar Fleak score her sixth career game-winning goal just seconds into the second half, then held their breath as the Falcons hled on to a single-goal lead over a frantic final 43 minutes.

Buffalo
OLEAN, NY – The University at Buffalo women's soccer team (2-4-1, 0-0-0 MAC) earned their second cleansheet of the season on Friday night, handing the St. Bonavneture Bonnies the 3-0 loss. With the win, the Bulls have now earned 200 victories since joining Division I in 1991.

Eastern Michigan
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's soccer team could not keep up with the pace of Utah State, Friday, Sept. 15, at Scicluna Field. EMU's (3-4-1) defense kept the game scoreless into the half, but Utah State broke through in the final 45 minutes to hand Eastern a 2-1 defeat. The setback marked the Eagles' first home loss of the season.

DEKALB – The NIU women's soccer team (3-3-1) fell to Northern Iowa (7-1) 3-2 as the Panthers won on a go-ahead goal with 30 seconds remaining in regulation. The goal was scored by UNI's Sarah Brandt for her second of the game as she finished a header off of a cross by Sydney Hayden.
