MUNCIE, Ind. -- It didn't take long for the Ball State soccer team to get its offense going Friday evening at the Briner Sports Complex. Sam Kambol and Evie Stepaniak each scored in the first 30 minutes of play, and the Cardinals rolled to a 2-0 victory over Fort Wayne in the season opener.

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Skylar Fleak kicked her way to a day unmatched by a Bowling Green State University women's soccer player in 13 years, as the Falcons blitzed the Oakland Golden Grizzlies 5-1 on Friday night. The game, held at Oakland Soccer Field in Rochester, Mich., was the 2017 regular season opener for both teams.

CINCINNATI, OH – The University at Buffalo women's soccer team (0-1-0, 0-0-0 MAC) battled hard on the road against a strong Cincinnati side on Friday night but a late second half goal lifted the Bearcats to the 1-0 victory in the season opener. Senior goalkeeper Laura Dougall had a huge game for the Bulls as she finished with 10 saves, including a couple massive saves from in close.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – All in all, not a bad start. Central Michigan battled Tulsa and the heat on Friday, coming away with a 1-1 women’s soccer overtime draw in the Rock Chalk Invitational at the University of Kansas’ Rock Chalk Park. It was CMU’s season opener.

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's soccer team opened the 2017 season with a 1-1 draw against Illinois State University Friday, Aug. 18, at Scicluna Field. In all, the teams combined for 26 shots, but only managed to slot one home apiece.
