ATHENS, Ohio – The Ball State softball team ran its winning streak to eight games with a pair of 3-2 victories over Mid-American Conference East Division leader Ohio Saturday afternoon at the Ohio Softball Field.

Meredith Miller fired a complete-game shutout in game one, and Kiley Sosby's solo shot started a three-run inning in game two, as the Bowling Green State University softball team swept Saturday's (April 8) doubleheader against Eastern Michigan University. The Falcons won by scores of 5-0 and 3-2 in the Mid-American Conference twinbill at a sun-drenched Meserve Field.

BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Western Michigan softball team defeated Buffalo twice on Saturday, pulling off the doubleheader sweep against the Bulls. The Broncos won game one 2-0 and then took the second contest 2-1 in 11 innings.

KENT, Ohio – Kent State and Northern Illinois each earned a one-run victory to split Saturday's doubleheader at the Diamond at Dix. Sophomore Bailey Brownfield hit a walk-off double in Kent State's 6-5 win in the opening game and singled to bring the winning run to the plate with two outs in the final inning of a 7-6 loss in the nightcap.

OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University softball team split a doubleheader against the visiting University of Toledo at home. The RedHawks picked up their first home loss of the year but came out of the weekend with their second series win in Mid-American Conference Play. The ‘Hawks are now 20-16 on the year with a 6-5 MAC record.

AKRON, Ohio – Central Michigan broke through with four runs in the 12th inning and Rachael Knapp was again dominant in the circle on Saturday as the Chippewas took a 4-0 marathon victory from Akron in a Mid-American Conference softball game at Akron’s Lee R. Jackson Field.
