NASHPORT, Ohio - After day one of the 2017 MAC Men's Golf Championships, No. 12 Kent State holds a seven stroke lead over the field of nine. The Golden Flashes turned in a team score of 575 (-1), after shooting two rounds at The Virtues Golf Club.
Kent State was led by sophomore Gisli Sveinbergsson, who finished the day as the co-leader with Ball State's Johnny Watts after firing a 138 (-6).
Ball State (582) is in second place followed by Toledo (589), EMU (596), Miami (597), Ohio (599), Akron (604), Northern Illinois (607), and Bowling Green (609).
