TOLEDO'S HUNT SELECTED BY KANSAS CITY IN 3RD ROUND OF 2017 NFL DRAFT
RB Kareem Hunt selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 3rd round, 86th overall, in the 2017 NFL Draft

Toledo running back Kareem Hunt was a third-round draft choice, 86th overall, by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2017 NFL Draft on Friday night. Hunt is Toledo's all-time leading rusher with 4,945 yards and he ran for 118 yards and was named the North's Most Outstanding Player at the 2017 Reese's Senior Bowl on Jan. 28.

A native of Willoughby, Ohio, Hunt rushed for 120 yards in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl vs. Appalachian State and set the school career rushing record with 4,945 career rushing yards. Hunt set the all-time record at Toledo previously held by Chester Taylor (4,849 from 1998-2001). It was also the 28th 100-yard game in his career, breaking the school mark of 27 held by Taylor.

This past season Hunt had 262 carries for 1,475 yards (5.6 avg.) and 10 touchdowns and was a 2016 All-MAC First Team selection.
