Ball State:
Men's Tennis Sweeps Doubleheader Over IU Southeast
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (13-2) swept IU Southeast (10-10) in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. The Cardinals took both doubles points from the Grenaiders in today's match up, sweeping all six courts over IU Southeast.  At the No. 3 position, Jan Jirus and Matt Helm, who typically don't play together, earned a 6-2 win to start the day and then finished off with a 6-3 decision in the afternoon cap. Full Story...

Men's Tennis Drops Heartbreaker To Western Michigan
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (11-11, 2-3 MAC) suffered a heartbreaking Mid-American Conference loss to Western Michigan (13-7, 4-1 MAC) Friday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. The Broncos took the early 1-0 advantage over the Cardinals to start the match after winning the doubles portion.  Western Michigan clinched that point on courts two and three.  At the No. 3 doubles position, WMU's Jannik Dpitz and Eric Olivarez earned a 6-4 win over the Ball State twosome of Marko Guzina and Patrick Downs. Full Story...

Binghamton:
Men's Tennis Tops Toledo

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton  men's tennis (6-14, 1-4 MAC) posted four singles wins to rally past visiting Toledo (11-12, 2-4 MAC) 4-3 Saturday morning at the Bearcats Tennis Complex. Toledo won the doubles point and the first two completed singles matches to stake a 3-0 lead and move within one match of clinching the team victory. But the Bearcats battled for wins at Nos. 2, 3, 5 and 6 to pull out the win. Full Story...

Huskies Upended By Western Michigan
DEKALB, Ill. – Senior Carlos Manzanas (Madrid, Spain/IES Principe Felipe) earned his 10th dual match win of the season but the Northern Illinois University men's tennis team fell to Western Michigan in its home finale, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon. The Broncos took the doubles point to open the day, winning at number two, 6-1, behind Matt Hamilton and Maik Steiner before Kennosuke Nouchi and Daniel Loebel earned a 6-3 victory at number one.  Full Story...

Rockets Edged By Binghamton, 4-3

VESTAL, NY - Toledo men's tennis (11-12, 2-4 MAC) was edged by conference foe Binghamton (6-14, 1-4 MAC), 4-3, on Saturday afternoon. Toledo got off to a promising start by recording the doubles point. Senior Stjepan Sisko and junior Omar Espinosa battled to a 7-5 win at the top of the lineup, while freshman Thawin Suskathaporn and sophomore Reid Teatsorth paired up to claim a 7-5 victory on Court 3.  Full Story...

Men's Tennis Tops NIU, 6-1
DEKALB, Ill. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team dominated Northern Illinois 6-1 Sunday afternoon on the road, improving the squad to 14-7 overall and 5-1 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) while winning their third straight and seventh of their last eight. WMU won the doubles point and claimed five of the six singles points, with the lone loss coming at No. 6. In doubles, the duo of Kennosuke Nouchi/Daniel Loebel earned a 6-3 win at No. 1 to clinch it while Matt Hamilton/Maik Steiner got the Broncos started with a 6-1 win at No. 2.  Full Story...

Broncos Complete Season Sweep of Ball State
MUNCIE, Ind. – Senior Matt Hamilton earned his 100th career singles win as Western Michigan men's tennis team completed the season sweep of Ball State Friday afternoon on the road. The Broncos defeated the Cardinals 4-3 to improve to 13-7 overall and 4-1 Mid-American Conference (MAC). Western Michigan started the match out hot, claiming the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. The duo of Hamilton/Maik Steinerearned a 6-3 win at No. 2 and the latest MAC Doubles Team of the Week, Jannik Opitz/Eric Olivarez, won 6-4 at No. 3 to improve to a perfect 9-0 this season and put WMU up 1-0. Full Story...
