KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Ohio softball team (24-7, 5-1 MAC) returned to action on Saturday afternoon, splitting a doubleheader with Mid-American Conference West opponent Western Michigan (13-17, 1-5 MAC). The Bobcats would take game one, defeating the Broncos 6-4, and giving Ohio the series win. The Bobcats would fall in game two to WMU, 2-0, snapping the Bobcats’ 11-game winning streak.

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo (14-23, 2-3 MAC) dominated Buffalo (6-27, 2-3 MAC) to collect its first two Mid-American Conference victories on Saturday afternoon in its home opener at Scott Park. A four-run fourth inning propelled UT to a 6-3 victory in Game 1, before it banged out 11 hits in a two-hit shutout from sophomore RHP Kailey Minarchick to complete the doubleheader sweep over the Bulls, 7-0.
