Ball State:
Men's Tennis Loses 4-3 In Close Match At Butler
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (9-8) dropped a close 4-3 decision at Butler (12-3) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action. The Cardinals took the early 1-0 edge over the Bulldogs after winning the doubles point.  First off the court for Ball State was the No. 3 twosome of Marko Guzina and Patrick Downs.  The duo took down Butler's Ari Gerstein and Alex Woldmoe by a score of 6-2.  After that, Tom Carney alongside doubles partner Conner Andersen clinched the doubles point with their 6-3 victory over Aviv Ben Shabat and M. Men's Tennis Closes MAC Opening Weekend With 6-1 Win Over Toledo
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Ball State men's tennis team (9-7, 1-1 MAC) closed its first weekend of Mid-American Conference action with a 6-1 victory over Toledo (9-9, 0-1 MAC) Saturday afternoon in Kalamazoo. Wins at the No. 1 and the No. 3 doubles positions helped Ball State take the ealy 1-0 lead over the Rockets.  Lucas Andersen alongside doubles partner Andrew Stutz improved to 2-0 in league action after their 7-6 (12-10) take down over Stjepan Sisko and Thawin Suksathaporn on court one to clinch the point for the Cardinals. Full Story...

Cardinals Suffer Road Loss at Western Michigan
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Ball State men's tennis team (8-7, 0-1 MAC) suffered a 6-1 loss at Western Michigan (10-6, 1-0 MAC) Friday afternoon in the Cardinals Mid-American Conference opener at Sorensen Courts. The Broncos took an early lead with doubles wins at No. 2 and No. 3.  The senior duo of Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz defeated the nationally ranked twosome of No. 74 Daniel Loebel and Kennosuke Nouchi by a score of 6-2 on the top court.  Full Story...

Buffalo:
Bulls Hang Tough With Ivy League Foe Harvard
CAMBRIDGE, MA -  The University at Buffalo men's tennis team had an impressive performance against their Ivy League foes from Harvard on Saturday, but the Bulls fell just short, 4-3. The Crimson took the doubles point with wins at one and three, but the Bulls fought tough at one, falling 6-4 to the #57 duo in the country.  Villhelm Fridell and Petr Vodak, the reigning MAC Doubles Team of the Week, won their doubles contest, 6-4. The two teams split the six singles matches with all of them either going into three sets or seeing a tiebreaker in the match.  Filip Grbic won at third singles for the Bulls, 7-6, 6-3, while Vodak won at fifth singles, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1.  Sophomore Ethan Nittolo won his match at six singles, 4-6, 7-6, 6-0. Full Story...

Toledo:
Rockets Drop Match At Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Toledo men's tennis team was defeated 6-1 by Western Michigan on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, the Rockets drop to 9-10 on the season, while the Bronco's improve to 11-6. Sophomore Luka Vitosevic recorded UT's only victory in the singles competition. Vitosevic defeated his Bronco opponent Matej Svjetlicic in a tough matchup at No. 3 singles. After dropping his first set, 6-3, he battled his way back to clinch the victory 7-6 (7-5), 10-7. Full Story...

Rockets Fall in MAC Opener
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Toledo (9-9, 0-1 MAC) dropped its first conference match of the season to Ball State (9-7, 1-1 MAC), 6-1, on Saturday afternoon. Ball State jumped ahead, 1-0, by posting victories at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Sophomores Vince Anzalone and Serjen Olmedo were the only UT doubles team to take down their opponents. Men's Tennis Defeats Toledo for a Perfect Opening MAC Weekend
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team stayed perfect through the first Mid-American Conference (MAC) weekend, moving to 11-6 overall this season and 2-0 in the MAC with a 6-1 win over Toledo Sunday afternoon at West Hills. Same as Friday's win over Ball State, the doubles teams of Matt Hamilton/Billy Heckman and Jannik Opitz/Eric Olivarezeach earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, to give the Broncos the doubles point and a 1-0 lead. Men's Tennis Downs Ball State, 5-2
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team started their road to defending the conference title in a nice way, defeating Ball State, one of the top teams in the Mid-American Conference (MAC), 5-2 at Sorensen Courts Friday afternoon. The Cardinals put the pressure on early in doubles, as Ball States No. 1 took down WMU's nationally ranked duo in the first match of the day. Bronco teams of Matt Hamilton/Billy Heckman and Jannik Opitz/Eric Olivarez battled back to clinch the doubles point and put WMU up 1-0. Full Story...
