KISSIMMEE, Fla. - - Ball State softball's pitchers combined for 12 strikeouts and did not allow an earned run, but the Cardinals could not get anything going on offense in losses to Oakland (1-0) and Lehigh (2-1) Friday afternoon in the Citrus Classic I at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Bowling Green
The Bowling Green State University softball team dropped a pair of games on Friday (Feb. 24) at the Mardi Gras Invitational. BGSU fell to the University of Maryland, 3-0, before dropping a 5-3 decision to Bradley University at Lamson Park.

FAIRFAX, VA – Sophomore Ally Power struck out 10 batters in six innings on Friday afternoon, but picked up a hard-luck loss as the Bulls fell at George Mason, 2-1.

MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – Seniors showed the way as the Eastern Michigan University softball team secured a split of day one at the second weekend of the EMU Madeira Beach Invitational, Friday, Feb. 24. The Eagles (4-5) spotted Georgetown University a six-run lead, and despite a comeback push, could not overcome the deficit, falling, 9-8. In its second game of the day, the Green and White blanked Brown University, 4-0.

MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – Senior Ronnie Ladines threw 7.2 scoreless innings to start the day and sophomore Bailey Brownfield collected four hits and reached base in all six plate appearances as Kent State dropped a pair of games Friday at the EMU Madeira Beach Spring Invitational. The Golden Flashes lost in eight innings to Army West Point, 1-0, in the tournament opener and then fell to Albany, 8-3
