MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Akron Zips softball team picked up two wins on the second day of action at the Alabama State Black and Gold Tournament at the Barbara Williams Complex on Saturday.

TUCSON, Ariz. - - The Ball State softball team battled through high winds and rain to score a Saturday split on the second day of action in the Wildcat Invitational at No. 10 Arizona's Hillenbrand Stadium.

Bowling Green
The Bowling Green State University softball team utilized different methods to pick up a win in Saturday's (Feb. 18) two games vs. St. Bonaventure University, but in each case, the result was the same: a win. The Falcons downed the Bonnies by scores of 8-3 and 5-4 at the Charlotte First Pitch Classic in Charlotte, N.C.

HAMMOND, LA – The University at Buffalo softball team was swept by Texas-Arlington and Alcorn State on day two at the Lion Classic II, hosted by Southeastern Louisiana. UB fell 12-3 against Texas-Arlington and Alcorn State.

MADIERA BEACH, Fla. - The Central Michigan softball team pounded out 25 hits Saturday in winning two games at the Madiera Beach Invitational.

Eastern Michigan
MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University's softball team's bats were alive and well on day two of the EMU Madeira Beach Invitational, powering the Eagles to wins over Siena College and Robert Morris University. The Eagles (3-1) used a walk-off walk to top Siena, 10-9, before soaring past RMU (1-7), 11-1, in five innings to move to 3-1 on the season. The Green and White's four-game record is its best to start to the year since 2011.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Sophomores Michaela Schlattman and Johniann Wahl combined for five home runs to lead Miami University's softball team in the opening day of the Holiday Inn Hilltopper Classic at Western Kentucky University. In the opening game, the RedHawks (4-3) topped Western Illinois, 4-3, before falling in the second matchup, 7-6, to hosting WKU.

ATHENS, Ohio – The Northern Illinois University softball team wrapped up play at Ohio University by completing a sweep of Rutgers, while losing a pair to the Bobcats at the Ohio Softball Stadium Saturday.

Ohio
ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio softball team (7-1) continued its home portion of the schedule on a warm and windy Saturday afternoon (Feb. 18). The Bobcats defeated Mid-American Conference foe Northern Illinois 4-3 in extra innings carried over from Friday night's game. Ohio then picked up a 3-2 win over NIU in the final game of the day. The Bobcats outing against Rutgers originally scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday was canceled due to the length of the earlier games darkness. Ohio will play one final game against Rutgers on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Boca Raton, FL – Toledo (1-8) fell twice on the second day of FAU's Strike Out Cancer tournament. The Rockets dropped their first game to Syracuse, 8-0, despite recording seven hits in the contest. UT then dropped a 4-3 decision to St. John's on a walk-off single in the nightcap.
