Women's Tennis Tops Oakland and Morgan State
AKRON, Ohio – For the second straight weekend, the Akron women's tennis team swept a pair of matches as the Zips picked up a 6-1 win over Oakland and a 7-0 decision over Morgan State on Saturday, Feb. 11 at LaTuchie Tennis Center. Akron is now 5-2 on the season and has won four straight matches.

Ball State:
Women's Tennis Suffers 6-1 Loss At Cincinnati Sunday
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Ball State women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 setback on the road at Cincinnati Sunday afternoon. Prior to today's match, the Cardinals had won five-straight and now fall to 5-2 on the season. The Bearcats took wins on the top two courts to take the doubles point from the Cardinals. The Ball State twosome of Carmen Blanco and Toni Ormond were competing against Harley Hutchison and Ali Miller on court three and had taking a 5-4 lead before the match went unfinished.

Raiders Get By Falcons, 4-3
Dayton, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis team lost a close match to the Wright State Saturday evening, 4-3 at the South Regency Tennis Center. The Falcons came away with three singles victories and a doubles win on the day.

Buffalo:
Bulls Fall Short To West Virginia, 4-3
WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team lost four of six matches in singles as the Bulls lost their first match of the season, 4-3, against West Virginia of the Big 12. The Bulls opened the afternoon with a pair of wins at doubles to take the early 1-0 lead. The number one team of Tanja Stojanovska and Margarita Kotok picked up a 6-3 victory while the number two team of Chantal Martinez Blanco and Anna Savchenko won 6-4.

Bulls Take Down Detroit, 4-3
WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team moved to 2-0 on the season Friday with a 4-3 win over Detroit at the Miller Tennis Center. UB took the doubles point to begin the day as they won at first doubles with the pair of Chantal Martinez Blanco and Anna Savchenko taking a 6-2 win. The Bulls clinched the point at third doubles as Laura Holterbosch and Haley Hollins won their match, 6-3.

Eagles Rebound with 4-3 Victory Over Creighton
LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team broke a three-match losing streak Saturday, Feb. 11, when it traveled to the Dillon Tennis Center in Lincoln, Neb. to defeat Creighton University, 4-3. The Eagles (2-6) swept doubles play before taking three-of-four singles matches from the Bluejays (2-3).

Mayerova Shines in 6-1 Setback at Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team traveled to Lincoln, Neb. to square off with the University of Nebraska Friday, Feb. 10, at the Dillon Tennis Center. The Eagles (1-6) dropped its third straight match, while the Cornhuskers (6-0) remained undefeated after their 6-1 win over EMU. The Eagles struggled in doubles play. Juniors Ani Gogvadze and Maria Paula Ribero fell to Nebraska's Vasanti Shinde and Claire Reifeis, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles.

RedHawks Round Out Weekend With Loss to Cardinals
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Miami University’s tennis team closed out their busy weekend with another loss against the University of Louisville, 6-1, Sunday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Miami continued to play down a player due to illness. This weekend’s losses set Miami’s record back, 1-4. The doubles competition opened up with a loss at No. 2 where sophomores Emily Struble and Anzhelika Shapovalova fell to UL’s Ariana Rodriguez and Sena Suswam, (6-2). The duo juniors Nelli Ponomareva and Anastasiia Vasiukhina redeemed the RedHawks with their win over Mariana Humber and Abbie Pahz, (6-4).

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Miami University’s tennis team opened up its busy weekend with a loss to the Georgia State Panthers, (6-1), at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville, Ky. Saturday afternoon. Miami played at a disadvantage today with a player being down today due to illness. Juniors Nelli Ponomareva and Anastasiia Vasiukhina fell in the No. 1 doubles position to GSU’s Tarani Kamoe and Arina Taluyenko, (7-6), after battling it out in a tiebreaker, (7-2). The RedHawks rallied in the No. 2 flight where sophomores Emily Struble and Anzhelika Shapovalova defeated Kristin Rehse and Damira Muminovic, (6-2).

Women's Tennis Defeats Illinois State
ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team won its fifth-straight match when it defeated in-state rival Illinois State, 5-2 at the Boylan Tennis Center Saturday. The Huskies (6-2) won the doubles' point with Adey Osabuohien and Raven Neely leading the way. The Huskie duo improved to 6-0 at No. 1 doubles with a 6-2 win. Pauline Chawafambira and Abigail Dekkinga clinched it with a 6-4 at No. 3 doubles.

Marquette Escapes with 4-3 win Over Women's Tennis
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team fell at the hands of Marquette Friday afternoon in a tight 4-3 match. The Broncos fall to 5-3 this season as the Golden Eagles snapped the Broncos three-match winning streak. The Broncos came out hot in doubles, winning at both No. 1 and No. 3 to claim the doubles point and go up 1-0. The duo of Katja Fevralev/Tracy Kuhle stayed perfect this season at 3-0 with a 6-3 win at No. 3 while Barbare Eristavi/Melina Lyubomirova clinched the point with a 6-4 win at No. 1, also staying perfect this season (2-0).

Iowa Hands Women's Tennis 4-3 Loss in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – In a neutral setting, the Western Michigan women's tennis team dropped a nonconference match against B1G Iowa Saturday afternoon. The Broncos fall to 5-4 overall, with all four losses coming against major conference teams. Iowa claimed the doubles point and took an early 1-0 lead, then followed that up with three straight wins to open singles play to clinch the match. The Broncos kept battling even though the team's result was decided, with WMU winning all three remaining singles matches.
