KENT, Ohio – The Kent State soccer team (13-5-2, 9-2-0 MAC) advanced in the MAC Tournament on penalty kicks (4-2) over the Ohio Bobcats (7-10-3, 4-5-2 MAC). The match goes into the record books as a 1-1 tie, with Kent State outlasting Ohio on penalty kicks. For the second consecutive season, Kent State advances to the MAC Tournament semifinals and will host the MAC Tournament semifinals and championship at Dix Stadium.

"You have to give a ton of credit to our players for the adversity they overcame today for really coming through," said Kent State head coach Rob Marinaro. "You name it they were dealt it today, for them to bounce back and really finish it is a credit to them. You have to survive and advance in the tournament."

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State soccer team is moving on to the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinals after a 2-1 victory Sunday over Northern Illinois at the Briner Sports Complex.
 
The Cardinals led 2-0 at halftime on goals from midfielders Lauren Roll and Julia Elvbo and held off the Huskies in the second half to advance.

TOLEDO, Ohio - Seniors Sophie Pohl and Isa Echeverri each scored a goal as the Rockets advance to the Mid-American Conference Tournament Semifinals with a 2-1 win over Western Michigan on Sunday afternoon at Scott Park. This will be Toledo's first semifinal appearance since 2012.

Toledo (10-7-3) cracked the scoreboard first with Pohl's second goal in as many matches in the 16th minute. Senior Chiara Paradiso lined a left-side corner kick to Pohl at the near post and she able to deliver her fourth tally of the campaign.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The dream season continues. On Sunday afternoon (Oct. 29), the Bowling Green State University women's soccer team advanced in the Mid-American Conference Tournament with a 3-1 victory over the Buffalo Bulls in the quarterfinal round. The fourth-seeded Falcons (12-6-1, 6-4-1 MAC) were playing their first conference tournament game in nine years and were facing a fifth-seeded Bulls team with four straight years of tournament experience that included a championship. BGSU's victory sends it through to the semifinal round, where they will face the top-seeded Kent State Golden Flashes in Kent, Ohio.

The Falcons struggled to get offense going during the first half, ultimately securing only three shots, none of which were on goal. Buffalo managed only five shots, but they made one count. The Bulls created an offensive chance when Julia Benati passed to Kaitlyn Walsh. Walsh took a shot that was saved, but Carissima Cutrona tipped home a rebound for a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute.
