Men's Tennis Suffers Loss At Indiana; Lucas Andersen Improves To 3-1
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (1-3) was edged out by a 5-2 loss to Indiana Friday night in Bloomington. Although the Cardinals dropped the doubles point to the Hoosiers, the match was highlighted by Lucas Andersen who took the the top court win in singles play over Raheel Manji 7-5, 6-2. Patrick Downs earned the second win for the Cardinals today after he took down Hoosier Oliver Sec in straight sets 7-5, 6-4.

Huskies Cap Perfect Weekend
DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team completed a perfect 3-0 weekend on Saturday as the Huskies earned a 6-1 victory at Omaha. With the win, NIU improves to 3-2 on the season. NIU took the doubles point to take the 1-0 lead heading into singles play. Juniors Tom Hjertonsson and Louis-Philippe Hamel claimed a 6-2 win at number three to give the Huskies the edge in doubles while senior Eric Marbach and junior Georg Lundkvist clinched the point with a 6-3 victory at number one.

Huskies Sweep Creighton and North Dakota
OMAHA, Neb. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team earned its first two wins of the dual match season on Friday as the Huskies defeated Creighton, 4-3, in the afternoon before closing the day with a 6-1 evening victory over North Dakota. With the two victories, the Huskies evened their record to 2-2 on the season. Despite the wins, NIU head coach Patrick Fisher still saw room for improvement. After dropping all three matches in doubles to fall behind, 1-0. The Huskies earned wins at one, four, five and six in singles to earn their first win of the season against Creighton.

Toledo:
Toledo Downs Duquesne, 6-1
TOLEDO, OH – Toledo downed Duquesne, 6-1, on Friday afternoon at Shadow Valley Maumee. With the win, the Rockets improve to 2-3 on the season. The Rockets had an extremely strong showing in their doubles matches vs. the Dukes. The sophomore duo of Vince Anzalone and Serjen Olmedo defeated their opponents, 6-3, at the No. 2 spot before sophomores Juan Carranza and Reid Teatsorth sailed to a 6-1 victory at No. 3. Senior Stjepan Sisko and freshman Thawin Suksathaporn were en route to a win before their match was cut short at 5-2.

Dave Morin Passes Jack Vredevelt for Most Wins in WMU History
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Dave Morin, who is in his 21stseason as the head coach of the Western Michigan men's tennis team, became the winningest coach in WMU men's tennis history Sunday afternoon as the Broncos defeated Green Bay 5-2 at a neutral site on the campus of Minnesota. Morin, a 10-time Mid-American Conference (MAC) Coach of the Year, passed the legendary Jack Vredevelt with 349 career wins at Western Michigan. Morin has led WMU to eight MAC regular season championships and 11 MAC Tournament championships.

Broncos Drop Close Match At Minnesota, 4-3
Minneapolis, Minn. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team gave B1G Minnesota a battle Saturday afternoon, but the Broncos ultimately fell 4-3 on the road. The loss hands WMU its second loss of the season for a 2-2 overall record this spring. After Minnesota won the first doubles match of the day, Western Michigan rallied back to win the No. 2 and No. 3 spot to claim the point. The No. 48th ranked doubles pair of Felix Corwin/Matic Spec defeated WMU's Maik Steiner/Jannik Opitz. The dynamic duo of Daniel Loebel/Kennosuke Nouchi earned a 6-3 win at No. 2 to improve to 6-1 this season and evening the match. Billy Heckman/Nick Schnobel sealed the victory for the Broncos with a 6-4 win.
