Men's Tennis Sweeps Eastern Illinois
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team captured its first win of the spring season by sweeping Eastern Illinois 7-0 at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center Sunday afternoon. In doubles play, Lucas Andersen teammed up with Andrew Stutz to take the first match from EIU. The twosome defeated Freddie O'Brien and Gage Kingsmith 6-2 on court one. Lucas Andersen's younger brother, Conner, along with Nemanja Guzina clinched the doubles point when they beat Trent Reiman and Grant Reiman 6-3 at the No. 2 doubles position.

Men's Tennis Falls At Purdue
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (0-2) played its second-straight match on the road Saturday afternoon at Big Ten foe Purdue (1-0). The Cardinals put up a good fight but fell to the Boilermakers 5-2 at Basham Courts. Marko Guzina and Patrick Downs lost the first doubles match after falling to Gergely Madarasz and Lucas Omer Dages by a score of 6-0. The Boilermakes then took the point from Ball State after posting a 6-1 win over Conner Andersen and Nemanja Guzina on court two.

Men's Tennis Opens With Road Loss at Notre Dame
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Ball State men's tennis opened its 2017 spring season on the road at ACC powerhouse Notre Dame Friday at the Eck Tennis Pavilion. The Cardinals battled the entire match despite what the score reflected, losing to the Fighting Irish by a score of 7-0. Today's match began with the doubles portion of play where Notre Dame clinched the point on court two. Matt Gamble alongside his partner Alex Lebedev defeated Conner Andersen and Nemanja Guzina by a score of 6-3. Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz dropped the first match but took two games from the No. 10 team in the country, Josh Hagar and Eddy Covalschi.

Buffalo:
Bulls Dominate Singles To Defeat Brown, 5-2
PROVIDENCE, RI – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team won five of the six singles matches on Sunday against Brown, defeating the Bears, 5-2. The victory was UB's first of the spring season as they wrapped up their three-match tour of the Ivy League this week. For the first time this season the Bulls dropped the doubles point as they picked up one win at third doubles with a 6-1 victory from Ethan Nittolo and Tony Miller.

Bulls Fall Short At Yale, 4-3
NEW HAVEN, CT – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team played its second straight Ivy League opponent on Saturday, falling just short at Yale, 4-3. For the second straight match, the Bulls took the doubles point from their opponent. Filip Grbic and Villhelm Fridell won at first doubles, 6-4, and Hao Sheng Koay and Vidit Vaghela won at second doubles in a tiebreaker, 7-6, which clinched the point and gave the Bulls the early 1-0 lead.

Huskies Drop Pair of Duals To Open Season
DES MOINES, Iowa – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team fell in a pair of matches to open the dual match portion of the season on Saturday. NIU fell to defending Atlantic 10 Champion George Washington, 5-2, before dropping a 4-0 decision to host Drake.

Toledo:
Rockets Split Saturday's Matches; Down Wright State, 6-1
TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo men's tennis team (1-3) bounced back from a 7-0 loss to Valparaiso on Saturday afternoon to record its first victory of the season over Wright State, 6-1. Junior Omar Espinosa, sophomore Reid Teatsorth and freshman Thawin Suksathaporn knotted the score against their Valpo opponents but didn't have enough in the tank to defeat the Crusaders.

Rockets Drop Close Match To Dayton, 4-3
TOLEDO, OH – Toledo dropped a close battle against Dayton, 4-3, on Friday afternoon. The Rockets drop to 0-2 on the season, while Dayton improves to 1-1. Senior Stjepan Sisko returned to his usual spot at the top of the Rocket line up and defeated Dayton's Carsten Fisher in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Freshman Ernie Suksathaporn also record a two-set victory at the No. 6 spot vs. Andy Druffel.

Men's Tennis Suffers First Loss of Spring at Iowa
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Western Michigan men's tennis gave B1G Iowa a battle Saturday afternoon, but the Broncos ultimately fell 5-2 on the road for the team's first loss of the young season. After Iowa won the first doubles match of the day, the duo of Daniel Loebel/Kennosuke Nouchi earned a 6-4 win at No. 2 to improve to 5-1 this season and bring the doubles point down to the final match. The Hawkeyes earned a 6-4 win at No. 1 to claim the point.
