BUFFALO, NY – Behind a record-setting performance by senior captain Russell Cicerone, the University at Buffalo men's soccer team (1-0-0, 0-0-0 MAC) picked up a dominant 9-0 victory over Daemen College on Friday night in their season opener at UB Stadium. The packed stands witnessed history on Friday night as Cicerone set UB Division I program records for goals and points, finishing off his impressive night with five goals and an assist for 11 points in the win. Cicerone also became the first UB player in Division I history to record a hat-trick in a half, scoring three goals through the opening 45 minutes of play.

A second half penalty kick for the Cougars canceled out Voss' first half tally as the Huskies share the points with the defending Missouri Valley Conference champions.
