AKRON, Ohio – Senior Erin Seiler (Bowling Green, Ohio) was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Mideast Region third team, announced on Thursday.
"This is another well deserved award for Erin," said head coach Julie Jones. "She has been the Coe restore of our program for the past 4 years and her work deserves recognition. We are very proud of her"

Third Team - Nicole Steinbach / Ball State / P
Ball State softball freshman utility player Madison Lee (Cerritos, Calif./Cerritos) and senior pitcher Nicole Steinbach (Merrillville, Ind./Andrean) continued to earn praise for their play during the 2016 season, as both were named to National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Teams as announced Thursday (May 19) by the NFCA.

Second Team - Savanna Norcio / Buffalo / DP-Utility/Non-Pitcher
BUFFALO, NY – Junior Savanna Norcio has been named to the NFCA Mideast All-Region Second Team, the association announced on Thursday afternoon. Norcio was placed in the DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher Spot as she spent time this season at numerous position. UB has now put at least one player on the NFCA All-Region Team in three straight years, just the second time in school history that has happened.

Second Team - Michelle Kriegshauser / Eastern Michigan / OF
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University junior outfielder Michelle Kriegshauser (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln Way Central) reeled in Nation Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honors. Kriegshauser garnered second team recognition the NFCA announced today, May 19.
Weeks after being named First Team All-Mid-American Conference, Kriegshauser is the first Eagle to be named NFCA All-Region since Ashley Strauss was named to the second team at the conclusion of the 2008 season. Additionally, the New Lenox, Ill. product is just the seventh player in program history to earn the award.

First Team - Maddy Grimm / Kent State / 3B

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — After leading Kent State to its second consecutive Mid-American Conference regular season championship, juniors Maddy Grimm and Ronnie Ladines have garnered All-Mideast Region honors, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced on Thursday. Grimm is a First Team selection at third base, while Ladines is a Second Team Team selection at the utility/pitcher position.
This is the second year in a row that Grimm has received First Team recognition, and she joins Pauline Maurice (1990-91) as the only Golden Flashes to be named to the All-Mideast Region First Team multiple years. A Third Team selection as a freshman, Grimm is just the second Kent State to be a three-time NFCA All-Region honoree (Kylie Reynolds, 2007-08, 2010).

Third Team - Johniann Wahl / Miami / 1B
OXFORD, Ohio – A pair of Miami University softball players added more postseason accolades as senior outfielder Taylor Shuey (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) and freshman infielder Johniann Wahl (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif./Palos Verdes) both received All-Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Thursday.
Shuey earned Second-Team All-Mideast Region honors while Wahl was placed on the All-Mideast Region Third Team. This marks the second-straight season that a RedHawk has landed on the all-region team and is the first time since 2008 (Breanna Robinson and Alicia Hogl) that MU has had two players on the team.

DEKALB, Ill. – After a record-setting season that included a Mid-American Conference West Division Championship, three Northern Illinois University softball players garnered 2016 All-Great Lakes Region honors, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced today.
Catcher Emily Naegele (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest HS) picked up first-team honors, while junior first baseman Kayti Grable (Santee, Calif./Santana HS) garnered second-team accolades for the second-straight year. Pitcher Alex Frenz (Oakville, Ill./Oakville HS) earned a spot on the third team as a freshman.
