Akron:
Zips End Regular Season With 7-0 Win Over Bowling Green

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's tennis team concluded the regular season with a 7-0 sweep against Mid-American Conference opponent Bowling Green on Friday, April 22 at the Perrysburg Tennis Center. The Zips improved to 15-9 overall and 5-3 in the MAC, while the Falcons fell to 2-18 overall and 0-7 in the league. Full Story...

Ball State:
Cardinals Crowned Regular Season Champions

MUNCIE, Ind. - For the first time in program history the Ball State women's tennis team won the Mid-American Conference regular season title with a 6-1 victory against Toledo at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center Saturday afternoon. With the win, Ball State closed its regular season with a program best overall record of 20-3 and 7-1 in MAC play. The Cardinals third-year head coach Max Norris is the only head coach in program history to reach 20 wins.  Full Story...

Bowling Green:
Falcons Drop Season Finale, 6-1


Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis team lost to the University of Buffalo, 5-2, Sunday afternoon at Keefe Courts ending the regular-season for the Falcons. Senior Drew Fillis was honored prior to the match for her leadership and dedication to the tennis program over the last four years.

Women's Tennis Drops Decision To Akron

Perrysburg, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis team fell to Akron Friday afternoon, 7-0 at the Perrysburg Tennis Center. The Zips took an early lead by claiming the doubles point on courts two and three. The Falcons top duo of senior Drew Fillis and freshman Paula Comella's match was halted when Akron captured the doubles point. The Zips' Ariadna Blinvo and Shannon Newnes were leading Fillis and Comella, 3-2.  Full Story...

Buffalo:
Bulls End Regular Season With 5-2 Win At Bowling Green


BOWLING GREEN, OH - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team ended the regular season on Sunday afternoon with a 5-2 win at Bowling Green.  The win improves UB to 13-7 on the season as Buffalo concludes Mid-American Conference play with a 5-3 record, good for a fourth place tie.  However, UB will be the five-seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament due to a head-to-head loss to Akron.  Full Story...

Eagles Close Out Season With A 4-3 Win


DeKALB, Ill. -- Eastern Michigan University's tennis team completed the 2016 season Sunday, April 24, by traveling to Northern Illinois University and coming away with a 4-3 victory. The Eagles swept doubles action and three singles matcehes to take down the Huskies.  Full Story...

Miami:
Women's Tennis Clinches Share of Regular Season Title

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Miami University’s women’s tennis team clinched a share of its eighth-consecutive and 23rd overall Mid-American Conference regular-season title Sunday afternoon with a 5-2 victory over Western Michigan University at the Sorenson Courts. This is the second title in as many seasons for head coach Yana S. Carollo.  The RedHawks (12-9, 7-1 MAC) will share the championship with Ball State, with the Cardinals earning the top seed in next weekend’s MAC Women’s Tennis Championship due to their 4-3 win on April 1. RedHawks Shut Out NIU, 7-0

DEKALB, Ill. -- Miami University's women's tennis team brought itself to within one victory of a conference title with a 7-0 win over Northern Illinois University Friday afternoon at the NIU Tennis Courts. The RedHawks (11-9, 6-1 MAC) can clinch at least a share of the Mid-American Conference regular season title and a first-round bye with a victory Sunday afternoon at Western Michigan. The victor of Sunday's match will take the outright championship if Ball State falls Saturday against Toledo.

Northern Illinois:
Huskies Fall, 4-3, To Eastern Michigan


DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women’s tennis team was edged 4-3 by Eastern Michigan on a sunny Sunday afternoon Senior Day in the Mid-American Conference regular season finale for both teams at the NIU Tennis Courts in DeKalb. The Huskies (6-14, 1-7 MAC) split the six singles matches with the Eagles (5-16, 2-6 MAC) but were on the wrong end of the doubles point, which lifted EMU to the road victory as both teams finished out the 2016 spring season.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Defeated By Miami, 7-0

DeKALB, Ill – The Northern Illinois University women’s tennis team faced one of the best teams in the Mid-American Conference on Friday afternoon in league action, losing to Miami 7-0 on a sunny spring day in DeKalb at the NIU Tennis Courts. The Huskies (6-13, 1-6 MAC) were unable to end the five-match league winning streak the RedHawks (11-9, 6-1 MAC) brought to DeKalb, with perennial conference power Miami winning every match to complete the 7-0 decision. Full Story...

Western Michigan:
Broncos Drop 5-2 Decision To Miami

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Western Michigan women's tennis completed the regular season on Sunday at Sorenson Courts against defending champion Miami. The Broncos will head to the Mid-American Conference Tournament with a 17-7 overall record and a 6-2 record in the MAC. The Brown and Gold finished third in the MAC behind Ball State and Miami. Western Michigan had a chance to earn a share of the regular seaosn MAC Championship but fell at home to Miami 5-2. The team will have an opportunity to win the MAC Tournament Championship in Oxford, Ohio next weekend.  Full Story...
