Ball State:
Cardinals Win 4-3 Thriller Over Toledo


MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team defeated the Toledo Rockets 4-3 Friday at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center, in its final regular season match.  The Cardinals improve to 12-11 overall and 4-3 in Mid-American -Conference action, while the Rockets fall to 7-16 and 0-6 in league play.  Full Story..

Binghamton:
Men's Tennis Clinches Bid With 6-1 Win

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis roared past visiting Northern Illinois 6-1 Saturday afternoon at the Bearcats Tennis Complex. With the win, BU (13-8, 4-3 MAC) clinched a berth in the upcoming Mid-American Conference championship. Both teams entered the day with identical 3-3 conference records and only the winner would gain a spot in the postseason tournament. The Bearcats set the tone with a quick win in doubles, using 6-3 triumphs at Nos. 1 and 2 within minutes of each other to claim the opening point.  Full Story...

Men's Tennis Clipped At Buffalo

AMHERST, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis (12-8, 3-3 MAC) played another tight match against longtime SUNY rival Buffalo (11-7, 4-3 MAC) but came up short in a key Mid-American Conference match, losing 5-2 Thursday afternoon at Sweet Home High School tennis courts.  Full Story...

Buffalo:
Bulls Qualify For MAC Tournament

AMHERST, NY – UB men's tennis completed their regular season with a critical 5-2 victory over Binghamton. With the win, the Bulls qualify for their 14th-straight MAC Championship. It's the second time this season Buffalo defeated Binghamton after winning 4-3 in March. Buffalo started the match off well by quickly winning all three doubles matches. Akhil Mehta and Tony Miller shut out their opponents, 6-0. First and second doubles finished simultaneously with Amar Hromic and Pablo Alvarez winning 6-3, and Sergio Arevalillo and Ethan Nittolo picking up the 6-4 victory.  Full Story...

Huskies Fall At Binghamton


BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Northern Illinois University men’s tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss setback to Binghamton on Saturday afternoon, eliminating the Huskies from contention for the Mid-American Conference Tournament. Sophomore Georg Lundkvist (Linkoping, Sweden/Lindkopings Kommun) claimed the lone point for the Huskies as their season comes to a close with a 15-9 overall record (3-4 MAC).

Men's Tennis Drops Final Match

TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo men's tennis team dropped its last match of the 2016 season to Western Michigan, 6-1. The Rockets complete their season with a 7-17 overall record and a 0-7 mark in the Mid-American Conference. Full Story...

Rockets Edged By Ball State, 4-3

Muncie, IN – The Toledo men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Ball State in their final road match. The Rockets fall to 7-16 on the season and 0-6 in the conference.  Toledo jumped out in front with a 1-0 lead after securing the doubles point. Junior Stjepan Sisko and sophomore Stephen Miller bested Andrew Stutz and Conner Andersen 7-6 (4) at first doubles. The freshmen duo of Vince Anzalone and Serjen Olmedo downed Matt Helm and Jan Jirus 6-2 at the No. 3 spot.  Full Story...

Western Michigan:
Men's Tennis Ends Regular Season With 6-1 Win At Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio -- Having already clinched the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Regular season title, the Western Michigan men's tennis team didn't hold back and ended the regular season with a 6-1 win over Toledo Saturday afternoon on the road. The Broncos moved to 18-5 overall and 6-1 in the MAC, making them the lone team with one loss in the conference. They won their third straight match and 10th out of the last 11 overall. The Broncos will go to the MAC Tournament in DeKalb, Ill., as the No. 1 seed.  Full Story...
