Cardinals Defeat Butler, 5-2


MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team won its match over Butler by a score of 5-2 at home Saturday afternoon in the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.  The victory, allowed the Cardinals to improve their overall record to 5-5 on the season while the Bulldogs fall to 4-8.  Full Story...

Western Michigan:
Broncos Defeat Cleveland State, 6-1

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team improved to 10-4 this season with a nice 6-1 win over Cleveland State on the road Saturday afternoon. The Broncos have now won six of their last seven games while the Vikings dropped to 8-5 this season.  WMU won the doubles point but it did not come easy. The duo of junior Matt Hamilton and sophomore Maik Steinerearned the first win of the day, defeating Buffington/Goth (Cle St) 6-3 at No. 2. The Vikings battled back to tie it at 1-1 winning at No. 1, but the duo of Jimmy Beckwith/Stephen Payne earned a hard-fought 7-5 win at No. 3 to clinch the doubles point for WMU. Steiner/Hamilton lead the team with a 19-4 record with the win today.  Full Story...
