Akron:
Women's Tennis Puts Up Fight in 5-2 Loss

HAMMOND, La. — The University of Akron women's tennis team closed out its Spring Break trip with a 5-2 loss to Southeastern Louisiana on Monday, March 21 at the Southeastern Tennis Complex. Akron (10-6) got off to a good start after winning on two of three doubles courts against the Lions. However, Southeastern Louisiana (10-4) battled its way through the Zips' singles lineup by winning all but one match.  Full Story...

Zips Drop 4-1 Decision At Tulane

Ball State:
Women's Tennis Defeats WSU; Extends Win Streak To 10

DAYTON, Ohio - The Ball State women's tennis team (13-2) extended its win streak to 10, after tallying a 6-1 dominating win at Wright State (11-3) Friday afternoon.  The Cardinals cruised past the doubles matches, claiming a commanding 6-1 victory from the No. 3 doubles tandem of Carmen Blanco and Bethany Moore.  Blanco and Moore continue to excel on the court, as they were last weeks’ Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week.  At No. 2 doubles, the Ball State pair of Julia Sbircea and Toni Ormond, clinched the doubles point for the Cardinals after their 6-3 defeat over Linsey Verstrepen and Karolina Haller.  Full Story...

Buffalo:
Bulls Defeat NJIT, 5-2

ORLANDO, FL - The Bulls won their second match in as many days with a 5-2 victory over NJIT, 5-2. Buffalo started the match off strongly by earning the doubles point. For the second-straight day all three doubles matches were won by Buffalo.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis sweeps Southern New Hampshire

ORLANDO, FL - UB women's tennis team started their Spring Break trip to Orlando, FL on the right foot as the Bulls defeated Southern New Hampshire, 7-0. After sweeping all three doubles matches, UB was victorious in all six singles matches in straight sets.  Laura Holterbosch and Christine Haraldson defeated their second doubles opponents, 6-0, while Margarita Kotok and Chantal Martinez Blanco came away with a 6-0 victory at third doubles. Tanja Stojanovska and Dayana Agasievasecured a sweep in doubles play with a 6-2 win in first doubles.  Full Story...

Huskies Downed Twice In Florida

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Northern Illinois University women’s tennis team dropped a pair of challenging matches in Florida this week as the Huskies concluded their nonconference slate with defeats on the road at Florida Gulf Coast and Florida Atlantic over spring break. Playing outdoors for the first time this season, the Huskies (5-7) struggled against each of the Sunshine State stand-out programs, falling to Florida Gulf Coast 7-0 on Wednesday evening and dropping a 6-1 decision at Florida Atlantic on Thursday afternoon.  Full Story...

Rockets Sweep Butler

Indianapolis, IN – Toledo defeated Butler, 7-0, in its last non-conference match of the season. The Rockets will enter MAC play next weekend with an overall record of 6-7.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Earns 5-2 Win Over UIC

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team will start the Mid-American Conference (MAC) season on a high note after defeating Illinois-Chicago 5-2 Friday afternoon. The Broncos improve to 11-5 this season while the Flames fall to 5-4.
