Women's Tennis Claims 5-2 Win Over Detroit

AKRON, Ohio — Playing in the first ever dual match at the Outdoor Tennis Facility, The University of Akron women's tennis team got back on track after earning a 5-2 victory over Detroit on Saturday afternoon.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Wins 4-3 Over James Madison


ORLANDO, Fla. - The Ball State women's tennis team continued it's spring success with a 4-3 victory over James Madison Friday afternoon. The win gives the Cardinals their ninth straight as they conclude their road trip to Florida.  With the win, the Caridnals improve to 12-2 on the season while James Madison falls to 4-4.  Full Story...

Cardinals Sweep Norfolk State

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Ball State women's tennis team extended its win streak to eight with a 7-0 sweep over Norfolk State Thursday afternoon.  With the win, the Cardinals improved to 11-2 overall, while Norfolk State dropped to 2-6.  Full Story...

Bowling Green:
Falcons Take Down Coyotes, 4-3

Orlando, Fla. – The Bowling Green State University tennis team defeated South Dakota, 4-3 at the Star Island Resort and Tennis Club Friday morning. The Falcons came away with three singles victories and the doubles point on the day.  The Orange and Brown grabbed the doubles point to start the match, winning at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. Senior Drew Fillis and freshman Paula Comella took down Emma Kranendonk and Ellie Burns, 6-4.  Full Story...

Eastern Michigan:
Eagles Beat Oakland, 6-1

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory Saturday, March 12, when the Eagles (3-10) broke a seven-match losing streak by defeating Oakland University. The win marks the third for the Green and White this season and the second over the Golden Grizzlies this year.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Drops Doubleheader Against Georgia State and Winthrop

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Due to Sunday’s forecast of inclement weather, Miami University’s women’s team condensed its road trip to a doubleheader matchup Saturday at Winthrop University’s Memorial Courts. The RedHawks (5-6) saw their three-match winning streak come to a close with consecutive losses, a 4-1 result against No. 53 Georgia State (7-4) and a 6-1 setback versus No. 56 Winthrop (9-2).  Full Story...

Northern Illinois:
Huskies Held Off By Drake, 4-3

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Northern Illinois University women’s tennis team battled until the very end at Drake on Saturday morning but were unable to pull off the road victory, dropping a 4-3 dual match. The Huskies (5-5) stole the doubles point off the Bulldogs (8-7) to give NIU a promising beginning to the contest, but Drake responded by winning four singles matchups to complete the comeback, including a three-set showdown in the No. 2 singles match that decided the dual.  Full Story...

Toledo:
Women's Tennis Drops Final Spring Break Match To Liberty

Palm Springs, CA – Toledo (5-7) dropped its final spring break match to Liberty, 6-1, on Friday at the Desert Princess Country Club in Palm Springs, CA. Senior Lauren Thai went undefeated against Liberty. Thai posted a 6-2 victory with sophomore Megan Miller at the No. 3 doubles spot. Thai went on to collect the sole Toledo singles victory. Thai defeated Lauren Mabe in a three set battle (4-6, 6-3, 10-6) at the No. 6 spot.  Full Story...

Rockets Swept By Gonzaga

Palm Springs, CA – The Toledo women's tennis team was defeated by Gonzaga in a 7-0 sweep on Wednesday at the Desert Princess Country Club. The Rockets fall to 5-6 on the season and will battle Liberty tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. PT.  Full Story...
