Ball State:
Men's Tennis Falls At Notre Dame

Notre Dame, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss to No. 36 Notre Dame Sunday evening at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.  The No. 1 duo of Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz were the first Cardinals to lose in doubles action against Notre Dame's Eddy Covalschi and Alex Lawson.  The Irish then claimed the doubles point after Brendon Kempin and Drew Dawson pulled off a 6-1 win over Matt Helm and Patrick Downs on court three.  Full Story...

Cardinals Suffer 4-0 Loss at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss at No. 53 Indiana Friday afternoon in the IU Tennis Center.  The Hoosiers opened up doubles play with a 6-2 victory over Marko Guzina and Matt Helm on court three. Lucas Andersenalongside teammate Andrew Stutz then evened the doubles score 1-1 with their 7-6 win over Indiana's Daniel Bednarczyk and Sam Monette at the No. 1 spot.  But IU would clinch the double point on court two after Stefan Lugonjic and Chris Essick claimed a 7-5 defeat over the Cardinals doubles tandem Collin Rigney and Conner Andersen.  Full Story...

Binghamton:
Men's Tennis Drops 5-2 Decision At St. John's

HARRISON, N.Y. - Host St. John's took the doubles point and then won four of the six singles matches to defeat Binghamton (4-2) 5-2 Sunday evening at the Living Life Center. The Bearcats earned wins at the top two singles positions and also got a win at third doubles.   Full Story...

Bearcats Fall To Brown, 6-1

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Host Brown captured the doubles point and then took five of the six singles matches to defeat Binghamton (4-1) 6-1 Saturday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center.  Getting the win for BU was freshman No. 5 Ludovico Cestarollo, who posted a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Aaron Sandberg. Ludovico (11-7) rallied from 5-2 down in the second set to close out his match in straight sets.  Full Story...

Men's Tennis Falls 6-1 To Princeton

Bulls Drop Close Match At NJIT

NEWARK, NJ – UB men's tennis started off strong in their match against NJIT by winning point at doubles. However, the Bulls couldn't carry over the momentum to their singles matches and fell, 4-3, in a tight match. Amar Hromic and Pablo Alvarez continued their hot play with a 7-6 win over NJIT's Schultz and Hall. In No. 2 doubles Noah Hajdu-Andersson and Akhil Mehta won 6-1, while Sergio Arevalillo and Ethan Nittolo were also victorious, 6-4.  Full Story...

Huskies End Weekend With 4-3 Win Over St. Louis

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men’s tennis team wrapped up the weekend with a 4-3 victory over Saint Louis on Saturday afternoon at the Boylan Tennis Center as the Huskies improved to 5-3 on the season. Sophomores Tom Hjertonsson (Gothenburg, Sweden/Akademi Båstad Gymnasium), Georg Lundkvist (Linkoping, Sweden/Lindkopings Kommun) and Austin Russell(Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) recorded singles victories for the Huskies.  Full Story...

Huskies Split Matches With SIU and Chicago State

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men’s tennis team split a pair of matches on Friday, falling to Southern Illinois, 4-3, before beating Chicago State, 5-2, at Boylan Tennis Center. The results move the Huskies to 4-3 overall in the dual match season.  In the opening match against the Salukis, NIU took the doubles point with wins at two and three. Sophomores Georg Lundkvist and Kevin Daun claimed a 7-6 win at number two and sophomores Tom Hjertonsson and Louis-Philippe Hamel earned a 6-2 win at number three.   Full Story...

Western Michigan:
Broncos Lose At Drake On Final Singles Match

DES MOINES, Iowa -- It came down to the final singles match, but ultimately the Western Michigan men's tennis team fell on the road to No. 39 Drake 4-3. The Broncos drop to 4-3 overall while the Bulldogs improve to 3-3 this season. The Bulldogs took the first doubles match of the day in the No. 1 spot, but the duos of Matt Hamilton/Maik Steiner (No. 2) and Jefta Kecic/Jimmy Beckwith came back to win the next two matches and give the Broncos a 1-0 lead. Hamilton/Steiner improve to 15-3 this season, leading the team in wins while also move to 3-0 this spring.  Full Story...

Broncos Fall On The Road At Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Western Michigan men's tennis dropped a road match 6-1 at No. 62 ranked Iowa in its first match against a nationally ranked team this season. The Broncos fell to 4-2 while the Hawkeyes improved to 4-1.  In singles play, senior Ruben Greiner earned a 7-5, 6-4 win in the No. 5 spot to improve to 9-5 overall and a perfect 5-0 this spring. Jefta Kecic and Maik Steiner each went into the third set in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively, but both ended up falling.  Full Story...
