Akron:
Zips Improve to 9-1 With Win

AKRON, Ohio — The University of Akron women's tennis team posted a 6-1 victory over St. Bonaventure on Tuesday afternoon at the LaTuchie Tennis Center.
Akron (9-1) took the doubles point after No. 1 doubles team of Sophia Geier(Burgebrach, Germany) and Carli Knezevich (Austin, Texas) earned a hard fought 7-6 (5) win over SBU's Mara Martinez-Santori and Gabriella Bowe.  Full Story...

Ball State:
Women's Tennis Earns 6-1 Win At IUPUI

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team extended its win streak to five after posting a 6-1 defeat at IUPUI Saturday afternoon.  With the win, the Cardinals improve their spring record to 8-2 while the Jaguars drop to 3-10 overall.  Full Story...

Bowling Green:
Spartans Down Falcons, 7-0

East Lansing, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University tennis team fell on the road to Michigan State, 7-0, at the Breslin Center in East Lansing Sunday. At No. 2 doubles, freshman Polina Radeva and junior Leeah Floyd battled against Davina Nguyen and Athena Trouillot. The Falcons were down 3-0, but the duo captured two games to make the score 4-2. Buffalo:
Bulls Down Bearcats, 6-1

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team won their second straight match on Saturday afternoon as the Bulls defeated SUNY rival Binghamton, 6-1.  The win improves the Bulls to 6-2 on the year.  UB took the doubles point as Tanja Stojanovska and Chantal Martinez-Blanco won in a tiebreaker 7-6 (5) and the duo of Mercedes Losada Rubio and Christine Haroldson won at third doubles in a tiebreaker of their own 7-6 (4).  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Returns To Winning Ways With 6-1 Win Over Youngstown State

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – After a tough weekend that saw the University at Buffalo women's tennis team drop its first two matches of the season, the Bulls got back on the winning track on Friday afternoon with a 6-1 win over Youngstown State at the Miller Tennis Center.  The Bulls dropped the doubles point, but won all six matches in singles to improve to 5-2 on the season.  In doubles, the number two team of Dayana Agasieva and Laura Holterbosch picked up a 6-3 victory, but Youngstown State won matches at one and three to take the doubles point and the early lead.  Full Story... 

Eastern Michigan:
Eagles Handed 7-0 Setback at Florida International


MIAMI, Fla. -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team completed its mid-winter recess trip to Florida Friday, Feb. 26, when it traveled to Miami to square off with Florida International University. The Eagles (2-10) squared off with the No. 62-ranked Panthers (6-1) at the FIU Tennis Courts, but fell 7-0 without winning a match.  Full Story...

RedHawks Sweep Wright State, 7-0

HAMILTON, Ohio -- Miami University's women's tennis team moved to a winning record for the first time this season with a 7-0 victory over Wright State University Sunday afternoon at the Riverside Athletic Club. The RedHawks (5-4) overcame a tough doubles challenge from the Raiders (5-2) to sweep the singles portion in straight-sets on their way to a third consecutive win.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Tops Samford, 4-3

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Miami University’s women’s tennis team returned to a .500 record as it defeated Samford University, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at the Boone Tennis Complex. The RedHawks (4-4) have now won three of their last four matches, while the Bulldogs (3-5) fell for the second consecutive outing.  The RedHawks started the day by pulling out the opening doubles point with wins at second and third flights. Junior Andreea Badileanu teamed with freshman Emily Struble to take down Georgina Jupp and Savannah Wood, 6-3. After a Samford victory tied the competition, the pair of sophomore Hannah Shteyn and freshman Anzhelika Shapovalova clinched the point with a 7-5 second-flight win. Full Story...

Huskies Downed By UIC

CHICAGO – The top two singles players both recorded impressive victories for the Northern Illinois University women’s tennis team on Saturday at University of Illinois-Chicago, but the Huskies were unable to douse the Flames and dropped a 5-2 decision at the XS Tennis indoor facility.  Full Story...

Rockets Defeat Detroit, 5-2

TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo women's tennis team defeated Detroit, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon. The Rockets improve to 4-5 on the season, while Detroit falls to 1-4. The Rockets quickly notched the doubles point, winning the first two doubles matches. Claire Aleck and Lauren Thai were ahead, 5-3, at the No. 3 slot before it went unfinished.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Improves To 9-4 With 4-0 Win Over Chicago State

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team is on a roll now having won five of its last six matches including a 4-0 win over Chicago State Sunday afternoon at West Hills to improve to 9-4 this season.  Full Story...

Broncos Sweep Vikings, 7-0

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women’s tennis team improved to 8-4 this season with a 7-0 win over Cleveland State Saturday afternoon at West Hills.  The duo of Tracy Kuhle/Melina Lyubomirova, who have been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Doubles Team of the Week for the three consecutive weeks, earned a 6-4 win in the No. 1 spot to clinch the doubles point for the Broncos and push their winning streak to seven matches. Barbare Eristavi/Katja Fevralev improved to 4-2 this season with a 6-2 win in the number two spot.  Full Story...
