Akron:
Women's Tennis Sweeps Wins Over Valparaiso and Morgan State

AKRON, Ohio — The University of Akron women's tennis team improved its win streak to four matches by sweeping a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday at the LaTuchie Tennis Center. The Zips opened the day with a 5-2 win over Valparaiso in the morning, then defeated Morgan State 6-1 in the afternoon to improve to 8-1 overall.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Defeats Youngstown State, 5-2

YOUNGSTWON, Ohio - The Ball State women's tennis team continued its winning ways Sunday morning with a 5-2 defeat at Youngstown State.  With the win, the Cardinals improved their overall record to 7-2 while the Penguins drop to 2-8 on the year.  Full Story...

Cardinals Sweep Chicago State and Evansville

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team clinched two wins in Friday's doubleheader at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.  The Cardinals defeated Chicago State 7-0 in the afternoon match and then capped the day off with a 6-1 win over Evansville.  With the win, Ball State improved to 6-2 overall for the 2016 spring season.  Chicago State dropped to 0-7 while Evansville falls to 1-5.  Full Story...

Buffalo:
Bulls Fall To ACC Foe Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team fell 6-1 at Pittsburgh on Saturday morning, dropping to 4-2 on the season. In doubles, UB claimed a victory at third doubles as Laura Holterbosch and Christine Harladson scored a 6-3 victory.  The Bulls had a lead at second doubles, but was unable to hold on, falling 7-5, which gave Pittsburgh the doubles point.  Full Story...

Bulls Suffer First Loss Of Season

MORGANTOWN, WV – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team lost for the first time this season, dropping a tough 4-3 decision at West Virginia on Friday afternoon.  The loss drops UB to 4-1 on the season.  For the first time this year UB lost the doubles point despite picking up a win at second doubles as Tanja Stojanovskaand Chantal Martinez Blanco won 6-2.  West Virginia picked up a win at third doubles and then the Bulls lost a close decision at first doubles, 7-5.  Full Story...

Tennis Tops Memphis, 5-2


LINCOLN, Neb. -- Miami University's women's tennis team overcame an early deficit to post a 5-2 victory over the University of Memphis Saturday afternoon at the University of Nebraska's Dillon Tennis Center. The RedHawks (3-4) completed their road trip by nearly sweeping the singles slate against the Tigers (1-6) in the first-ever meeting between the teams.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Comes Up Short At Nebraska


LINCOLN, Neb. – Even with the result already determined, Miami University’s women’s tennis team finished strong in a 4-3 loss to the University of Nebraska Friday evening at the Dillon Tennis Center. The RedHawks (2-4) earned three consecutive victories in tiebreaking third sets to close out their match against the Cornhuskers (8-1).  The doubles competition was a competitive affair as the pair of senior Ana Rajkovic and junior Ana Rajkovic used their fifth consecutive win in third flight, a 6-2 result, to tie the round following a Cornhusker victory in first-flight. Nebraska would eventually clinch the point with a 6-4 second-flight victory, taking an early 1-0 lead into singles play.  Full Story...

Northern Illinois:
Huskies Cruise Past Chicago State


CHICAGO – The Northern Illinois University women’s tennis team notched its biggest road victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Chicago State 6-1 in the city.  The Huskies (4-3) bolstered their season record with the win at the Chicago State Tennis Courts, taking down the Cougars (0-8) with five wins in singles and the doubles point for insurance. The result marked NIU’s second consecutive road victory after the team had defeated Milwaukee last Saturday.  Full Story...

Toledo:
Tennis Falls To Wright State, 5-2

Miamisburg, OH – Toledo split the weekend with a 5-2 loss to Wright State on Saturday, following its 4-3 defeat over Cincinnati on Friday. The Rockets drop to 3-4 on the season. Wright State won two doubles matches, collecting the doubles point, before the third could be finished.  Full Story...

Rockets Defeat Cincinnati, 4-3


Cincinnati, OH – Toledo defeated the Bearcats, 4-3, on Friday evening in Cincinnati. The Rockets broke UC's five-match winning streak and improve to an overall record of 3-4.  Claire Aleck and Lauren Thai recorded the first doubles point with a 6-4 victory at No. 3. After Cincinnati notched its first win at No. 1, it came down to Mackenzie Bowman and Rani Goodland at the No. 2 spot. Bowman and Goodland clinched the match with a 6-3 victory, granting UT the doubles point.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis With Convincing Win Over Bradley

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan women's tennis team improved to 7-3 overall and 5-0 at home with its win over the Bradley Braves (6-3) Saturday afternoon at West Hills Athletic Club. The Broncos are now 19-7 in doubles matches during the dual match season.  Full Story...
