Madison Costner scored two goals and Kristen Knuston posted her third consecutive shutout Thursday as the Central Michigan soccer team topped Toledo, 3-0, in a Mid-American Conference game at the Rockets’ Scott Park. The Chippewas improved to 11-1-1 overall and 3-1-1 MAC. The Rockets are 6-6-1, 1-3-1.  CMU moved ahead of Northern Illinois and into second place in the MAC West.

Redshirt sophomore Carissima Cutrona netted her team-leading eighth goal of the season in the 105th minute to give the University at Buffalo women's soccer team (6-5-2, 3-2-0 MAC) their third straight conference win on Thursday night at UB Stadium. Cutrona's fourth game-winner of the season gives the Bulls a perfect 6-0-1 record at home this season and an impressive 23-1-4 mark at home over the last three seasons.

Donavan Capehart and Jenna Hellstrom netted two goals apiece as Kent State downed Akron 4-0 Thursday evening at Cub Cadet Field to earn their ninth straight win and point for Kent State in the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge.  Hellstrom now has 32 career goals, a new Kent State record.  With the win, the Golden Flashes move to 9-1-0 (5-0 MAC) while the Zips fall to 3-8-2 (0-3-2 MAC).
