ATHENS, Ohio -- Eastern Michigan accomplished something it has not done since 1967 in the 27-20 road victory over Ohio Saturday, Oct. 15, at Peden Stadium. The Eagles (5-2, 2-1 MAC) won their third consecutive road game for the first time since '67, and defeated the Bobcats (4-3, 2-1 MAC) in Athens for the first time since 1994 to move to 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in league play.  The aerial assault of the Eagles carried the day, as redshirt junior Brogan Roback had a day, passing for a career-best 347 yards on a record 29 completions and three touchdowns, all coming in the second half. OXFORD, Ohio -- Bolstered by the return of redshirt sophomore quarterback Gus Raglund, the Miami University football team earned its first win of the season, 18-14, over Kent State Saturday afternoon. The RedHawks improved to 1-6 overall and 1-2 in the Mid-American Conference. The Golden Flashes fall to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the MAC. Raglund returned only six months after suffering a severe knee injury in spring ball. He finished the game 10-for-21 with two touchdowns. He also helped Miami on the ground game, leading the team in rushing with 36 yards.  Full Story...

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Ball State running back James Gilbert continues to produce and finished with 264 yards on the ground and two touchdowns in the 31-21 victory at Buffalo. Gilbert’s rushing total was the second highest ever by a Cardinal. Ball State (4-3, 1-2 MAC) struggled to find its rhythm in the first half as the Cardinals turned the ball over three times and only scored seven points. However, the defense held Buffalo (1-5, 0-2) to 14 points in the opening half to keep Ball State within striking distance.  Full Story...

AKRON, Ohio -- Western Michigan junior running back Jarvion Franklin had a career-day as No. 23/24 Western Michigan took care of Akron 41-0, Saturday at InfoCision Stadium in Akron. Franklin finished with a career-high 281 rushing yards. With the win, the Broncos moved to 7-0 on the year and 3-0 in Mid-American Conference play. DeKALB, Ill. -- Central Michigan quarterback Cooper Rush hit Tyler Conklin with a 25-yard touchdown pass in the third overtime Saturday as Central Michigan pulled a thrilling 34-28 victory over Northern Illinois at Huskie Stadium. The win, Central Michigan’s second straight, lifted the Chippewas to 5-2 overall, 2-1 MAC. It was their third straight victory over NIU, the six-time defending MAC West champion. TOLEDO, Ohio -- Toledo running back Kareem Huntscored on a three-yard run with 18 seconds left to give Toledo a thrilling 42-35 victory over arch-rival Bowling Green before a capacity Homecoming crowd of 30,147 at the Glass Bowl on Saturday. The victory gives Toledo (5-1, 2-0 MAC) the Battle of I-75 Trophy for the seventh consecutive season.

Rockets quarterback Logan Woodside led the Rocket offense with 322 yards passing and four touchdown passes, three of them to senior tight end Michael Roberts, who set his career high for TD receptions. Roberts had six catches for 94 yards, while junior Cody Thompson had six grabs for 74 yards and senior Corey Jonesadded five receptions for 90 yards and one score.  Full Story...
