Athens, Ohio – In their first Mid-American Conference (MAC) road game of the season, the Bowling Green State University Falcons had five players score in double figures in what was a crazy 91-75 come from behind win over the Ohio Bobcats at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio. The crazy contest saw the Falcons go almost 10 minutes without a field goal in the first half and then record a 10-point possession in only 37 seconds of game time late in the second half, in which BGSU had a four-point play, hit three out of four free throws on two technical fouls, and got an old-fashion three-point play after taking the ball out of bounds off the technical fouls...MORE

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - A big step for a team - a program -- with big aspirations. Braylon Rayson scored 24 points, Chris Fowler had 20, and Rayshawn Simmons added 18 Tuesday as the Central Michigan men's basketball team topped Akron, 92-81, in a Mid-American Conference game before 2,260 at McGuirk Arena. The win lifted CMU to 9-7, 2-1 MAC. Akron, which came in riding a 10-game win streak, is 13-3, 2-1. KENT, Ohio – Kellon Thomas scored 19 points and Jimmy Hall added 18 as Kent State held off a late Miami University run for a 76-68 victory on Tuesday night at the M.A.C. Center. The Golden Flashes held a 15-point advantage with 5:30 to play, but saw its lead cut to just two points with 1:21 on the clock following a 7-0 RedHawks run. Hall, Thomas and Chris Ortiz combined to shoot 10-for-14 from the foul line the rest of the way, and the Flashes stepped up on the defensive end to get consecutive stops as the lead reached as high as eight in the final minute of play. The victory moved KSU (11-5, 2-1 MAC) back into a tie for first place in the Mid-American Conference's East Division with Akron and Bowling Green...MORE
