	Cardinals Swept at Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Ball State men's tennis team dropped to 6-7 on the season after the team lost 7-0 Sunday to Vanderbilt at the Commodores Currey Tennis Center.

The Cardinals lost the doubles point to enter singles play down 1-0.  The No. 1 ranked pair Gonzales Austin and Rhys Johnson clinched the doubles point after defeating Ball State's duo Patrick Elliott and Andrew Stutz by a score of 6-2 on court one.

In singles play, court five was the first match to wrap up, as freshman Collin Rigney fell to the Commodores Jeffrey Offerdahl, 6-4, 6-0.  Vanderbilt then went up 3-0 after Baker Newman took down Jan Jirus 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 4 singles position.  The Commodores clinched the win after Daniel Valent defeated Ray Leonard 6-3, 6-2 on court two.

The Ball State men's tennis team continues non-conference action at home Friday against IUPUI in the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center starting at 3:00 p.m.

Men's Tennis Falls To Libscomb, 4-3

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Ball State men's tennis team suffered a 4-3 setback at Lipscomb Saturday evening in the Richland Country Club.  With the loss the Cardinals fall to 6-6 on the season while the Bisons improve to 8-5 in non-conference action.

Ball State took the early 1-0 lead over Lipscomb after Ray Leonard alongside doubles partner Collin Rigney took down Alex Pavel and John Tougher 6-1 on court two.  The No. 3 doubles tandem of Lucas Andersen and Matt Helm secured the doubles point with their 7-6 (1) victory over Daniel Hernandez and Thais Minet.

After that, Lipscomb fought back to earn singles wins on court one, three, four and six to take the match from the Cardinals.  Andersen took home a singles victory for the Cardinals at the No. 2 singles position with a straight set defeat over Alejandro Manzanares, 6-3, 6-2.  Andrew Stutz was also a winner on court five after posting a three set thriller over Pavel, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.

	Binghamtom:

	Bearcats Blanked at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - Binghamton men's tennis played its fifth consecutive match against a nationally-ranked opponent and the Bearcats (2-9) fell to No. 25 Princeton (12-3) 7-0 Sunday morning at Jadwin Gym.

Junior No. 3 Eliott Hureau and sophomore No. 5 Frenk Kote each took a set off their opponent before losing. The No. 2 doubles tandem of Hureau and senior Robin Lesage played a tight 7-5 set at doubles.

"We had a few opportunities in doubles, but against a top 25 team if you don't convert those they are going to run with the match and that's what happened," head coach Nick Zieziula said. "We had some break points to get No. 1 doubles back on serve and didn't convert. Princeton did a great job of rolling that momentum from doubles into the singles."

Binghamton next plays No. 46 Cornell at 5 p.m. next Saturday at the Binghamton Tennis Center.

Huskies Win Streak Snapped At Five With 4-2 Loss at Marquette

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team saw its five-match winning streak end on Thursday night at the Huskies fell, 4-2, at Marquette. With the setback, the Huskies drop to 8-3 overall, 1-0 in the Mid-American Conference.

"Well another 4-3 match between NIU and Marquette," said NIU head coach Patrick Fisher. "It was close from start to finish, but experience got us tonight. We did not handle the important moments well enough to win and we didn't capitalize when we needed to.
