ITHACA, N.Y. - No. 59 Old Dominion won five of the six singles matches to rally past Binghamton men's tennis 5-2 Saturday afternoon at the Reis Tennis Center.

The Bearcats grabbed a quick 1-0 lead with two strong doubles wins. The sophomore tandem of Thomas Caputo and Frenk Cote provided the clinching win in a tiebreak. Earlier, senior Robin Lesage and junior Eliott Hureau posted a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles.

"The key to our success in doubles today was that when we lost our execution on shots, we maintained our energy and focus to rebound and play better in the next points," head coach Nick Zieziula said. "In singles we didn't do well enough responding to adversity. ODU is a well coached team and they came out ready to battle for every point in the singles. We've had a tough stretch of travel and ranked opponents, so we need to take some time to rest up and get refocused and re energized at practice."
