DeKALB, Ill. — The Ohio Bobcats (8-4, 5-3 MAC) handed Northern Illinois (8-4, 6-2 MAC) its first November loss since 2009, as they defeated the Huskies 26-21 at Huskie Stadium in DeKalb, Ill. on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Ohio running back A.J. Ouellette rushed for 140 yards on 30 carries to pace the Bobcat offense.

With the win, Ohio ends the regular season 8-4 overall.  For NIU, the Huskies had the chance to clinch their sixth consecutive West Division title, however they must wait the outcome of the Toledo - Western Michigan game on Friday to determine their fate.  If Toledo wins, the Rockets are West Division Champions.  Should Toledo lose, then NIU wins its sixth straight West crown.

"I’ve got a lot of respect for what (Northern Illinois) is about, so any time you get a chance to play a team such as this, you know it’s going to be a challenge. They bring out the best in you and you just get ready to go. I felt really good coming in with how hard our guys would play and I thought they would really play well also. If we’re healthy and we’re well and we’re playing hard, we can also be tough to beat. So I just feel really good about what these guys were able to accomplish tonight," said Ohio Head Coach Frank Solich.
