AMHERST, Mass. — A brilliant defensive performance helped end a long road losing streak as Miami University's football team defeated the University of Massachusetts Minutemen, 20-13, in their season finale Saturday afternoon at McGuirk Alumni Stadium.

The RedHawks (3-9, 2-6 MAC) had not won a road game since defeating Akron, 56-49, on Sept. 29, 2012, losing 22 straight contests away from Oxford. Miami's defense held a strong UMass offense to only 250 total yards on the day, led by senior defensive lineman Bryson Albright, who posted two sacks and the game-clinching interception.

AKRON, Ohio -- During the 10th anniversary season of their only bowl appearance, the Akron Zips posted their sixth win of the 2015 season, becoming bowl eligible for just the second time in school history (as an FBS program), with a 42-21 Mid-American Conference win at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field on Saturday afternoon.
